Subrata Roy's Flying Saucer

In 2008, Scientific American solemnly announced, "If a University of Florida professor has his way, it's likely that the first flying saucer to grace Earth with its presence will not be from outer space but rather from Gainesville" Florida. A professor of aeronautics and aerospace engineering at the University of Florida named Subrata Roy "draftsman Programs To build a round flying vehicle that can hover in the air like a helicopter without any moving parts or fuel".

In short, the professor decided to build an earthly UFO. The pilot vehicle will sail in the sky of the earth with the help of electrodes that cover the surface of its surface. These are designed to ionize the surrounding air into plasma. Gases (such as air, which has an equal number of positive and negative charges) will become plasma when the energy (such as heat and electricity) causes several gas atoms to lose their negatively charged electrons. This creates atoms with a positive charge, or positive ions surrounded by the newly stripped electrons.

Using an energy source on the plate (such as a fresh battery, ultra-capacitor, solar panel or any combination of them - a green earthly aircraft), the electrodes will send an electric current to the plasma. This will cause the plasma to push against the neutral (uncharged) air surrounding the craft. Theoretically, of course, this will create enough lift and movement in different directions - depending on where on the surface of the space vehicle the electric current is directed.

It didn't seem like the idea could be realized at the time, but Prof. Roy said in 2008 that he planned by 2009 to build a mini-model of the aircraft to demonstrate his theory.

The mini model, the professor's flying saucer has a total diameter of 15.2 centimeters. Prof. Roy calls it an "electromagnetic air vehicle without wings" (WEAV). With such dimensions it will really be a flying saucer. Theoretically, Roy said in 2008, that the flying saucer can be large and can be designed to any size you want, because the design gives the vehicles balance and stability.

In other words, in 2008 the professor thought that this type of aircraft could be built one day, so that it would fly between people. But Prof. Roy warned, "We must walk before we run, so we start small." And so he decided to start flying 15.2 cm flying saucers.

Still the biggest obstacle to building the WEAV is getting passengers into it. As soon as passengers enter it, especially some heavy ones, the flying saucer will no longer be as light as before. How do we make sure it is light enough to carry passengers and their luggage? Roy didn't say desperately. However, he did not know what energy source he would use for this purpose. He predicted that the body of the aircraft would be composed of a material that is an insulator such as a ceramic material, because this material is a good electrical insulator.

Roy started designing the WEAV in 2006. The following year, he and a researcher named Anthony Colosse of NASA's Glenn Research Center wrote a paper for NASA's Institute for Advanced Concepts (NIAC NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts), which no longer functions and is closed.

The article dealt with the use of electro-hydrodynamics, or ionized particles as an alternative to liquid fuel to propel space vehicles. When NASA closed NIAC on August 31, 2007, Roy decided to continue his work at the University of Florida.

Roy hopes to succeed in his project, to develop a more stable vehicle and a new type of fuel - air. In principle, it was possible to reach a vehicle more stable than an airplane with the help of Prof. Roy's WEAV - airplanes, for example, rely on aerodynamics for lift. This is while Roy's flying saucer uses the plasma field and can create lift in any direction. You can change direction quickly and you can go up and down quickly. Let's say the pilot wants the WEAV to move to the right. He just needs to increase the power to the electrodes on the left side on top of the flying saucer, and reverse the movement in the other direction. Electrodes on the bottom of the vehicle will propel it upwards and electrodes above it will land it home.

at Scientific American Be very skeptical about Prof. Roy's flying saucer. They wrote in 2008, "Assuming Roy's WEAV prototype gets off the ground next year—which is a big if—it could prove effective in a number of ways." It relies on electricity from a battery or other electrical power source instead of relying on the combustion process that requires oxygen. As we know, oxygen is not abundant in the Earth's atmosphere. It seems that the fans of the WEAV will be in the US military and it can be used as an intelligence and spy drone.

Although Prof. Roy worked with the research laboratory of the US Air Force, it seems that in 2008 the US Air Force expressed no desire to order a fleet of flying saucers of the model proposed by Roy. While the Air Force worked with Roy on plasma studies, there were no concrete plans to support the development of the WEAV.

Roy's flying saucer in 2008 was in the early stages of planning, it was not yet known how it would be powered, how much it would cost to build and how much it would cost to operate. But he was optimistic. "All the materials needed to make the vehicles exist today," he said, "and plasma is the most common form of matter in the universe. If we can somehow take advantage of this in the future, we should be able to fly anywhere." Since then Prof. Roy was unable to develop his model and it was shelved.

The Indian Professor's Flying Carpet

In 2007 an Indian physicist from Harvard named Prof. Lakshminarayanan Mahadevan proposed the The physical flying carpet The text of the stories A Thousand and One Nights and "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp". Although he was only able to demonstrate a ten-centimeter flying carpet, he and his team believed that in the future a real Aladdin could be made to fly on a real carpet…

His flying carpet idea, which stems from aerodynamic considerations of a sheet moving in a liquid, Published in Physics Rabio Letters.

"The myth of the flying carpet is everywhere in many cultures, conjuring figures of magical and mystical journeys," write Prof. Mahdevan and the two researchers in the article. "Recently, animators have been recreating these visions in cartoons and the day may not be far off when engineers will provide us with an actual journey on one of them. From a physical perspective, we may ask whether a flying carpet is possible, and if so, under what conditions it might operate." And these words were written in an article in one of the most prestigious physical journals...

The researchers went on to say that in the natural world there are many analogies to the flying carpet - as seen by marine creatures or fish with an anatomical structure that is similar to a sheet (like a carpet) that glides through a liquid. Observations of such creatures motivated research into a possible solution to the flying carpet problem: the carpet as "swimming" in liquid. The researchers observed such a model while it was swimming and undergoing deformation. They observed its deformation movement and made an analogy to bodies swimming in the sea. Prof. Mahdevan did indeed work earlier on a mathematical-physical model of sheets that go through wrinkles and curvatures (deformation) in space. In 2007 he expanded the research to the lifting of the sheets in liquid. In fact, the idea is to create a sort of wavy fluctuations that push against the nearby air in front of the horizontal surface of the floor. The undulating movements create a fluid flow that leads to high pressure in the space between the carpet and the floor. This causes the carpet to rise. The weight of the carpet balances the pressure that caused the lift.

Where then is the magic from the East that raises the flying carpet? As it rises, the ripple fluctuations can propel the carpet forward. First they turn it a bit on its side just like an airplane and then the carpet moves forward when its edge rises up.

Prof. Mahdeban told scientific journals, such as Nature and the like in 2007, that this recipe would make the carpet fly just like certain sea creatures that pass through the ocean. However, since then no flying carpets have been seen in the skies of the world and neither have Harry Potter and his fans been seen with Nimbus 2000 brooms in the sky.

The professor estimated in 2007 that in order to stay in the air, a carpet measuring about 10 centimeters long and 0.1 millimeters wide would have to vibrate about 10 times per second with an amplitude of about 0.25 millimeters. FYI Aladdin, I don't think the magic lamp will survive that kind of vibration and the genie will get sick and seasick on this trip.

Suppose the carpet is thicker. The carpet will have to go through more difficult ripples and the passengers will experience serious and significant seasickness during the trip. All this to achieve the flight of the carpet and the necessary speed. Look, if you want a smooth ride, you can instead create many small ripples, says the Indian professor.

Nevertheless, when the idea of the flying carpet became known, they wondered and asked the professor if a person would be able to fly on it, and he answered in his article that it is still within the scope of the mystical and magical world for now and this is the answer to why we do not see flying carpets in the sky. Because the motor that is needed to drive the vibrations of the carpet will have to be very powerful. In addition, the carpet will have to be woven from ultra-light and special materials (perhaps from metamaterials?). Of course, in water the density contrast between the carpet and the water is not the same as in air, so thick flying carpets are obviously logical in water... but Prof. Mahdevan Keva whose work will eventually lead will also lead to this goal of a person flying in a flying carpet in the sky. In any case, since 2007 Prof. Mahdevan has not spoken about the flying carpet...

  1. It can't be a space vehicle, because in space there is nothing to turn into plasma (there is no air there)

  3. Reply to #1 (Max)

It is my understanding that there is no mention of the term anti-gravity in the entire article.
I actually remember that they did an aviation experiment with air "ionization" already in the fifties, but it was not possible because of a too weak power source.
In general, it's always good to be a little optimistic and not be the type of person who wanted to kill Galileo Galilei.

  4. Father, it's not a problem at all.
Take my article above about UFOs and move it to another place on your site. Because the comments here are not related to him at all. Then people will start reacting to the substance of the matter to UFOs.
Then you will take part of your article about a country haunted by ultra-Orthodox and secular demons (only a section of the article) and paste it in place of my article about UFOs here. Then all the comments here will remain in their place and will be an integral part of the section of your article about the ultra-Orthodox.
And leave your full article about a country haunted by ultra-Orthodox and secular demons in its place as it was there.

  5. I wish I knew how to forward comments from a letter to an article, I would forward all the comments to the article I'm uploading in an hour dealing with the Helms report. The ultra-Orthodox have no patience.

  6. By the way, my father, no comment here is irrelevant. There are no more discussions on this site that refer purely to the article and the issues related to it and that are not somehow related to religion. Stop referring to those who try to force an unrelated discussion (which is not a discussion at all but an exchange of verbal blows).

I suggested before - instead of one column of comments, that there would be two columns side by side. Whoever starts with a comment unrelated to the article, such as an endless debate about evolution or God or religion or whatever, his response will be moved to the appropriate comment column, if he has not done so himself.

What do you think? (And sorry for the poor euphemism in my response, I simply ran out of patience. An interesting topic that, because of the stupid and unrelated and long debate, I see no point in writing an objective response because who will see it except for the participants of the current Sisyphean debate?)

    Thanks for treatment.

  7. Peace.
Truth is not what we feel. After all, everyone has a different emotion.

And by the way, there is actually an economic way of the Torah.

  8. Abami, I would call you an alien. Do yourself a favor and go pray and talk to the air because that's what you and your ilk do. I can't believe what you are blind, how in 2010 people still believe in nonsense Revek there are billions of galaxies and countless stars. And if there is a creator, do you think that what interests him is if I cut toilet paper, I should wipe my ass on Shabbat or go to the sea, just open your mind. We are like all the creatures on earth, only with more luck.

  9. Believe me that for ten years I and two thousand members of the Ramat Aviv association have been trying to find a single tzaddik in Sodom and we can't find them, they threw them at us and that's how they got rid of them, that we'll break our heads. And I say this with reservation - if they even exist. As far as we know, the existence of a non-messianic current in Chabad is an urban legend.

  10. To the editor
You yourself needed faith in cold logic as your own yardstick for certain truth.
Everyone needed some kind of faith for which it serves as a touchstone and an anchor for their truth.
Everyone's personal point of view must be respected without criticism and judgment. This is the right of every person.
As for the Chabadniks, if these are their Messianic sect, you will be more successful if you try to talk to the sane ones who do not advocate Christianity, I am sure they will be able to help much more than the mayor. If you establish proper and respectable communication with them, you will find that they have enough sane people with a listening ear. If you convince them of the hooligan behavior of the group that comes into your life. It might help because they refer to it as "blasphemy".

  11. The fact that you don't believe doesn't help if you encourage the phenomenon and think that faith has power. Faith is vanity (any faith) and whoever is willing to accept the comfort of illusion instead of the cold truth, first of all does himself an injustice. Besides, if all the ultra-Orthodox hate the Chabadniks, why haven't I heard any public statement on the matter until today (everyone is ready to talk, not for a quote, when it comes to a quote or votes, they support the Chabad "because they are Jews" even though they admit they are not Jewish in conversations not for a quote). If you think this is causing you harm, say something and help kick them back to Kfar Chabad, otherwise there is something wrong with thinking that all ultra-Orthodox are like that.

  12. To the editor
Personally, I do not believe that these Kabbalists have any ability, but this is my personal opinion
But their main strength comes from the intense faith of those dawning on them.
Faith has power far beyond science

  13. As someone who lives and is active in the struggle, I can tell you that the secularists are succeeding and winning big in public opinion. Still, the Chabadnikim have some other advantages - money, among other things from the owner of the Starkist company whose products I avoid, and they also have partners in the municipality that enable them to build illegally and prevent the inspection department from enforcing a demolition order on the Millman house from 2002. In the end the court will help but the mills of justice grind slowly unfortunately.
And Huldai, who knows that if he does nothing, his career is over because all the northerners voted for him, continues only to talk but avoids reaching a critical vote on the training of a kindergarten in Beit Kazanchei, thus continuing the audacity that in a secular neighborhood there are about 15 Chabad houses And no one in this damn municipality except Reuven Ladyansky and Mittal Lehavi, it doesn't bother.

  14. Gali Weinstein
The ultra-Orthodox themselves call Chabad the closest religion to Judaism
A concept that was coined at the time of the great Shach who was considered a central leader
The behavior you described causes great harm to everyone and generates brotherly hatred.
    It sounds totally hooligan.
There are quite a few hooligans of different types in Israel
It is very unfortunate that a citizen has to evict his apartment for this reason.
Maybe the problem with the residents there is that they just talk and talk and do nothing.

  15. Legly, if you don't help expel them from Ramat Aviv, they will replicate themselves even in memory, they have our money, and we don't have theirs, and therefore they have unlimited manpower and resources whose sole purpose is to destroy the State of Israel.

  16. And how does the rabbi know what the right decision is? After all, he does not have a direct line to God, he is a human being like me and you and even inferior by being ignorant of all the things relevant to life in a world where you have to compete for money and not receive it as a gift because of one coalition or another.
And what does the rabbi know about Torah that claims that bedbugs are created from sweat or that rats are created from garbage? Or does a cow have four stomachs? Or maybe the sun hides at night behind a curtain and then makes all the way back from west to east to shine in the morning?

  17. I used to live in Ramat Aviv.
The truth is that I grew up in Ramat Aviv. I went to school there and then to university.
One day they arrived at Ramat Aviv Chabad. And they started to take over the neighborhood.
For years we lived in Ramat Aviv and it was quiet. Then they started to take over. Oz Almog said that Chabad is the fast food of Judaism. But they stand in the middle of the street and ask you: Do you want me to blow your shofar? It is now a mitzvah between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
So one day one of them stood next to me and stuck a trumpet in the middle of Tagore Street and called me prayers.
Oh well. If it's just blowing the shofar in the middle of the street and it really does him good for the soul. So, okay.
I really don't care. does not bother me.
The problem is that they came and wanted me and my neighbors to be like them. This is the expression. I mean, they wanted me to repent.
And they started reading in the mall: Messiah is coming. And they bought Beit Kazanchi - which was our cultural club. And they bought more and more of our places. And they bought one store and turned it into some small mission.
And outside the gate of Nitsanim school they started standing and they would ask my son: "Hey boy do you want to be Jewish?" And in the actions of the scouts they would try to capture the children.
Then the residents of Ramat Aviv started to get angry.
One day I was at a meeting organized by some residents of Ramat Aviv Gimel. Irit Linor spoke there.
A few years ago I was walking down the street with my little son in a stroller and two Chabadniks approached him and asked him: "Hey boy, do you want to be Jewish?" The child in the stroller, maybe two years old...
I moved from Ramat Aviv. And I don't live there anymore. Then one day I get on the train from Binyamina to Ramat Aviv. At the university station Chabadnik gets on the train and starts screaming: "Guys, the Messiah is here, guys, the Messiah is coming." Exactly what I would hear in the Ramat Aviv mall and the exact same redhead who would scream the same words in the mall.

  18. Abamim:
    You don't understand anything!
    6% are a minority within a minority.
    That's what you called Rob.
I didn't see the number 200 in this context and I guess there's another lie of yours hiding here, but it's not important.
And again I say - even if the majority were going crazy it would not mean that going crazy is good or right.
Your consideration is similar to the one that an HIV carrier would take the virus infection data to justify the claim that being an HIV carrier is actually the true health.

  19. To the editor
Of course, in a situation of danger, they will look for the greatest specialist doctor.
A true expert will never express himself with certain decisiveness in situations of danger.
Because science is limited, you never know before surgery what the results will be.
So the final decision is given in many cases to the rabbi and not to the doctor.

Investments based on mathematical formulas were and are
But those who are tempted to rely only on this will end up just like that
    Long-Term Capital Management LTCM
which fell with a big bang because the math only works when the market is stable and orderly
They went to George Soros to save their butt but he was not inclined to do so
why? Because George Soros knows that math can't decide for you.
Although he does not go to the rabbis, he uses intuition
All the technical analyzes in the world will not help you predict the coming of the avalanche.

  21. Quote from the press release of the Central Bureau of Statistics. The correct number, and scary enough, is 58 thousand.

About 200,000 people aged 20 and over, who make up 5.4% of the Jewish population at this age, define themselves as "repentants":
22% of the ultra-orthodox define themselves as "converts", 17% of the religious and 9% of the traditional-religious.
About half (49%) of those who repent report that the main reason for this is studying and acquiring new knowledge, about a quarter (25%) repented under the influence of family, their partner or the environment and 17% following a personal crisis.
29% of the converts grew up in a secular home, 20% in a traditional-not-so-religious home, 33% in a traditional-religious home and 14% in a religious home. 70% of the converts are born in Israel.

  22. Abami - only you have one person who knows everything and argues with everyone about it. If someone's life is in danger, he will contact a doctor, which is also a scientific profession and not a mathematician. And if he doesn't want to just throw away his money, he won't turn to the rabbi either.

  23. Machel
The data are in absolute numbers
The CBS states that 200,000 two hundred thousand people grew up in secular homes
They got closer to religion, some became more orthodox and some more traditional
Your percentage game does not change the absolute number of 200000 seculars in the source
    who changed their lifestyles.

  24. I'm curious, people, do those tycoons of yours before every business decision do technical analysis (which is studied and developed in universities) are they based on economic theories (developed in universities) do statistical calculations (developed in universities) or do they go to rabbis?

Do you know rabbinical based economics? The economy and business that I know are based on the sciences of economics, mathematics, psychology and statistics and are influenced by all the latest technological developments which are also direct products of the sciences.

Alas if all the investment houses thought like you that all world events are based on luck and those who know are the rabbis. Do you also include Moti Alon as a financial consultant or is he only an educational consultant?

Sorry I do not represent anyone but my private opinion
If you read the comments of the commenter from Cal, you will find that he tends to humiliate others in his comments
Underestimates the value of others and is arrogant and boastful in a large part of his responses.
This is instead of conducting a dialogue of mutual appreciation and respect.
So it is clear that he has no interest in convincing but in drawing attention to his ego.
There is no need to look far for 2 comments above number 33
    Machal's words—–>
"I, for example, made a lot of money from selling patents I invented.
    What about you, uh-huh-huh?” <——————–
And this is just a small example.
After all, you can't deceive the others and hold their eyes, people feel exactly
What is hidden behind the words?
The tycoons go to these rabbis for exactly the same reason that a person is in need
Does not turn to a mathematician to make fateful decisions.
Does it occur to you that a person whose life is in danger as a result of an illness or other factor?
He will turn to a mathematician who will solve the dilemma using some equation.
Do you think that fates can be determined in a court of law, for example, according to a mathematical equation?
The pretense of thinking that science is all-seeing is the naivety and delusion of drones.

  26. Abamim:
You're just lying, and the funny thing is that even if your lies were true it wouldn't say anything about the correctness of the religion.
You presented the data in a completely selective manner and you continue to ignore the simple fact that in order to compare with the past you need data from the past and you do not bring such.
Most seculars are not what you think.
I mentioned that I was building a sukkah.
I didn't mention another fact, which is also true - I participate in the Passover ceremony.
None of this belongs to faith and believe me - I do listen to myself!

So how do the people lie?
They refer to the figure that 21 percent of the respondents reported that today they are more religious, but ignore the fact that these 21 percent are distributed as follows:
    42% of the ultra-orthodox
    46% of the religious
    34% of religious traditionalists
21% of the not so religious traditionalists
    6% of the secular.

After that comes the idiot and claims that most of the seculars do not accept my words and believes that they will not catch his lie.

Of course, the survey also did not indicate the percentage of people who believe less than before.
Maybe Avami will call us now with the aliens and bring this figure as well?

    And what about the rabbit?
And what about the Euphrates and the Tigris?
And what about the horrible morality I pointed out?
In short - what about answers to the matter?

The tycoons use science as much as they can but knowing the limitations of science
They go to rabbis to make business decisions
No one thinks of using science to make important business decisions
They understand and know this well from experience.
Study evolution until you're green it won't add a dime to your bank account

    Machel
The CBS data indicates a trend among the secular in the direction of religion
Why do the seculars not listen to your opinions and prefer religion
You envy the tycoons and therefore humiliate and accuse them of dishonesty.

A simple fact is that almost all world events still depend on luck and not on intelligence or science. Science is not able to help at all in random situations as life goes on in reality.
On the other hand, you and your ilk tend to enter the little bubble of order within the mess that science offers.
And from this small point in all the chaos, you claim that the whole world operates according to that small point of view. From this you define yourself in a narrow-minded and idea-fixed worldview.

  28. thick,
Now do you also know how much money I have?
    So:
    A. The fact that this or that tycoon met with "Baba" does not indicate the content of the matter, and it is much more logical that they meet in matters of money and how to make more...
    B. The character analyzes you are conducting for the other commenters here remind me of the methods of operation of "fathers", mediums and other fortune-tellers of all kinds... So let me recommend that you read about topics such as: NLP, cold reading, and information-flooding...
third. I recommend that you concentrate on the subject and not go into personal lines every time you run out of words...
    d. Most of the scientists who are engaged in research have found all the best in the world - a combination of what they like to do with their livelihood. I wouldn't worry about their financial situation, if I were you...
God. I never talked about folk tradition and their customs have many meanings beyond the superstitions at their core. (Just like a flag is more than a painting on canvas and an anthem is more than a popular song.)
and. I also read the CBS data - and I agree with the editor that they show a weakening and not a strengthening of society in Israel.
    G. All that's left for you is to organize your friends and flood the site with pseudo-religious slanderous comments, as happens on news sites. And by the way, even for those "talkbackists" you will need money...
In short - ... did I say you made me laugh?
    Good signature.
    : )

  29. Besides - in case you didn't realize this - scientists are not in the business of making money because there are more interesting things in their world.
Of course there are those who combine both worlds.
I, for example, made a lot of money selling patents I invented.
    What about you, uh-huh-huh?

  30. And what is this whole story with the tycoons?
    There are stupid tycoons.
Inheriting money does not make you smart.
Not that you stole it either.
The vast majority of people who have become rich themselves and honestly do not go to any shaman.

  31. Abamim:
As I said - you do not understand what you wrote.
The facts you cited do not point to any trend of going crazy among the seculars.
To indicate a trend, numbers from the past are needed.
What is so hard to understand here?

  32. The tycoons make their money on our backs while licking government ministers and Knesset members, it's not really related to the fathers, who are also corrupt, as you probably read in the general press.
Those who need it - according to the gas barons - also know how to take advantage of science. Don't worry about them.
As for the verified facts of the CBS, I explained to you that even if they are true they show that Israel is weakening and not strengthening as you claim. I examined the data and found an interesting statistic there that I will write an entire article about - half of the converts did so because they were looking for new knowledge, the conclusion - the state has betrayed them and instead of access to the correct scientific knowledge it offers them an abundance of conversion shows when the preachers there pretend to know everything and usually talk nonsense http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUSVoDkD5jQ/
Unfortunately, people who are impressed by the Rebbe's tone of voice and convictions do not have the ability to understand when they are wrong and that the facts are not at all as the Rebbe describes. For example, he describes a scarecrow of evolution - for example, describes it as completely random and hopeless - and then makes a poo and the scarecrow falls, he did not topple the real evolution, but that's how it appears to an innocent listener.
The state weakens itself by pouring taxpayer money into a place that makes its residents less contributors to society and more dependent on it.

  33. To the editor
The tycoons make money, this is a fact
99% of scientists do not know how to make money using the insights of science
    This is also a fact

    to Makhal
I brought verified facts of the CBS that were published recently
So now you claim that the CBS is falsifying its data
Why because you have other verified data. I wonder what your source is?

  34. Abamim:
You don't read what you yourself write.
First of all - the fact that a certain percentage among the secular observe certain mitzvot (it's good that you didn't mention the fact that the majority of the secular are not murderers - after all, it is written in the Torah "Thou shalt not murder" - as evidence of their religiosity) does not say anything about your claim because it is not clear what is behind that observance of the mitzvot (and I explained that I myself observe some of them without a trace of faith) nor does it say anything about trends in the secular public (since the percentage of Mitzvot observant people in this public in past years is not shown).
Beyond that - as I said - even if your statistical claims were correct (and they are not) this would not mean that the religion's nonsense is correct.
You are trying to conduct a pointless psychological analysis on me only because you have nothing to answer my claims - and indeed you have not answered a single one of them.

  35. דניאל
Indeed, money is a significant factor, I would say religion in itself
How do you explain the fact that most of the big tycoons in Israel are the ones who own the
Most of the resources in our country go to various accepted rabbis and do not make a deal first
who received the approval of their rabbis.
If they are as stupid as you claim how come they made so much money
And science supporters like you and the site people here did not.
In my opinion, some of the arguments of the supporters of science, etc., stem from simple jealousy in this matter.

    Machel
Sorry, but I brought factual data from the CBS that was published recently

    "
Israel is getting stronger: a quarter of the secular fasts on Yom Kippur
The Central Bureau of Statistics published today (Sunday) data regarding the nature of society in Israel. The data shows that one out of every five Jews living in the country reports that he feels closer to religion today than before. 42% of them report that the reason for this lies in the influence of their family and spouse, compared to 34% who attribute their religious strengthening to the acquisition of knowledge in the field.
    ..........
Evidence of the strengthening of the importance of religion among the secular public is found in the fact that an absolute majority of them, 86%, testified to themselves as those who observe Jewish tradition to some extent. This is in addition to the 10% of the secular public who make sure to regularly eat kosher foods." (see response 7)

So the facts point to what is happening in the secular sector.
Whereas you keep talking about the ultra-orthodox sector, which is a small percentage compared to the rest.
And so I claim that in fact the secular sector is convinced of the opposite
    in your opinion
In fact I tend to think that you are not at all trying to convince anyone of anything but
By getting some attention from the commenters on the site.
This is because you tend to always repeat the same boring arguments over and over again
And that you almost always respond by humiliating the other commenter in front of you to increase your ego
yours at the expense of the other. And it's a parasitic tune of exploitation and manipulation of others
to gain a false sense of importance. The feeling you convey in your words is unpleasant. It is a sense of arrogance that no one is willing to tolerate.
And you are certainly aware that in my opinion it stems from obsessive compulsiveness.
Truth is not a matter that depends on the outcome of the equation Truth is what other people think
Feel with intuition and feelings. When something is real people know it is real
Not because it is a calculated result of an equation but because it feels real.
So you are not persuasive precisely for this reason.
And the tycoons listen to the advice of their rabbis before making important deals precisely for this reason.
And the seculars who return to repentance is also for this reason.
After all, they could be convinced by your arguments, but it just doesn't sound real to them.

  36. Abamim:
Why do you think I'm not convincing?
I actually know people who I convinced.
There are people like you who have been brainwashed to the point of complete emptiness and they cannot be convinced.
The scientific criterion for the truth of things is not how many people believe in them (and by the way - more people share many beliefs with me than with you. For example - all Christians and all Muslims think that your religion is a lie and even a sin. I agree with you on this. This is something I can say as an example to every foolish believer of all Religion. If a Christian stands in front of me I will stand in front of him with all the other nonsense believers).
I think that most people - not only do not believe in the theory of relativity - but are not even familiar with its content. This must have been the case in Einstein's day. I wonder if you would try your crap on him.
The trend of anxiety in Israel is simply the result of irresponsible childbirth.
A secular person usually tries not to have more children than he can support. The ultra-orthodox give birth to children that they expect me to support and even finance their brainwashing outside of the skull.
Keeping elements of tradition says nothing about beliefs.
You might be interested to know that I also set up a sukkah (not at my house but at my parents' house) - we just love these family gatherings and the ceremony - it has nothing and nothing to do with your delusions.

  37. Nice, you can use it for advertisements like "Zeppelin", funny that the first UFO on Earth will have "NIKE JUST DO IT" written on it, right?

  38. Abami -
Haha believe it or not - I believe in the uncompromising power of money.
All inclusive. Scientific research, universities, education budgets, yeshiva, midrash houses, etc. are funded by financial entities (no - I do not mean some ruling sect and superstitions of this kind). These factors have a single interest and that is to make money by reading public opinion and various influences on the consumer audience.
Behind all the rejoicing for some "righteous" person there is a person who "grinds" money.
Any interest group like the cell phone manufacturers in the 90s will make sure to base the reasons for buying their product on research on behalf of
Universities in the US, as in Israel, are funded by various groups that have an influence on things like more popular and less popular studies.
Today there is a huge flood of information and scientific studies that contradict each other from time to time... and as always, even in this area there are "fashions" that change... There were times when it was thought that monkeys were degenerate humans - that was the fashion.
Behind every religion (including your New Age) stands enormous wealth that depends on its believers... This wealth, more than once, finances research at the world's leading universities.
Therefore and accordingly, unlike you, I do not have answers and I am still in the stage of gathering information and make sure to listen and understand and compare what I read, without drawing conclusions. In my opinion, physical legality and the wonderful legality of mathematics are an expression of intelligence and of the fact that the universe is "smart".
I believe that religions (including your New Age) are one of the most negative factors in human history and apart from wars, they led to ignorance, fear, an inability to accept reality as it is - and therefore were exploited throughout history by cynical people who profited from that ignorance. This caused a lag in development and a significant retreat for more than a thousand years.
Or in short - you made me laugh.
So much for what I believe.

  39. דניאל
I think the Middle Ages are already over so no one believes in nonsense
So how do you believe in the New Age nonsense? These look much more appropriate
    for that period.
And overall you are convinced that your New Age religion is superior to other religions.
And I guess you think the New Age will rule the future and outlaw the other religions.
Immediately say you didn't mean it, you know what I believe that's exactly what you meant.
Get out of your puffiness and notice that the followers of the different religions are convinced that all the believers of the other religions are infidels and their only destiny is destruction.
Apart from that, it's great for you to wear the mantle of the prophet and prophesy for another 150 years.
No one will come to you with complaints, so it's safe.

  40. First - many thanks for an interesting article.
Abami - your arguments are nonsense at best, since in the Middle Ages most people believed in things like witches being made of wood (- so they would throw the suspect into the water - if she drowns, then she is not a witch. If she does not drown, then they burn her for the crime of witchcraft) - this is not Make them right. It used to be thought that if you put wet rags in the basement, then rats (rats in Hebrew) would be created from them... Today they think that it is permissible to do anything in the name of today's superstitions (a rabbi died and they call him the Messiah, for example - which reminds me of another religion whose Messiah died...)
And don't get me wrong - I actually do believe that the universe has some kind of intelligence and a "directing hand" - but it won't punish me if I eat on Yom Kippur, smoke on Shabbat or participate in a withdrawn Mishgal... But I don't try to understand her through sayings of "wise men" and all kinds of laws from the days of the Second Temple... I try to understand the universe she has corrupted, and my spirit more than the "Holy Spirit"
And by the way, I hope that if the Messiah comes, it will be a woman... it will bring down all the religions...

    Another little thing:
In my opinion, within fifty to a hundred years the religions as we know them will be outlawed.
happy holiday and happy new year

  41. Machel
I read your comments on this site, you repeat yourself and repeat yourself and make the same claims over and over again. Obviously you were convinced of them.
Therefore there is no point in repeating the same things again and imposing boredom on us.
In order to check how persuasive your words are, you just need to see how effective it is
and how many people it affects.
According to the facts, your words have no effect at all.
So what is the conclusion that all those who were not convinced are mindless.
After all, they are all descendants of monkeys or you think otherwise.
The simple fact is that no one is interested in what you have to say against the Jewish religion.
So maybe you should take care of renewing your arguments and being more original
I'm sure you'll have more listeners then.
In my opinion, your voice is not heard because other people feel that you underestimate intelligence
theirs and feel in your words arrogance and self-importance that diminishes others.
Until you give others the feeling that you respect them, no one will pay attention to your words.

  42. Abamim:

! Eat shit! 100 billion flies cannot be wrong

I must be adamant about your level of intelligence.
Do you really want to tell me you didn't read the whole comment?

A person cannot "decide to be intelligent".
    Fact: it doesn't affect you.
Reading the links about intelligence doesn't help because it's a matter of genes, but statistics are statistics:
You told me how many people are after nonsense and I explained to you exactly who they are.

    But really:
    What about the rabbit?
And what about the Jewish morality that I brought you a direct link to its content?
Are you not going to relate?

  43. to wave
With a doctor's degree you should know that the number of hours in a day is still 24 even now
And if you read on the ultra-Orthodox websites, it turns out that most of them apparently prefer to stay on daylight saving time
    To the editor
And what about Erantz-8, National Geographic Discovery, the History Channel and more.
And the above mentioned channels I have not heard about them, no doubt if anyone has heard and watches them
    Maybe to fall asleep
I once watched one of these, someone was standing there and chattering, it doesn't affect an ant
    Machel
You sound adamant about the low level of intelligence of the seculars who chose different forms in adopting the Jewish tradition.
That is, all these masses ignored the links you provide and chose other links
Perhaps you can explain the phenomenon of why they all preferred a different approach
Is the logic in your claims so clear or not?

  44. Arya, but today a letter was published in Israel today by a person who explained that at the end of the fast it is more difficult than at the beginning, and he is afraid that there will be weak characters who will break down and eat, he does not even imagine that there are people who do not fast and that even they as tax payers have rights.

  45. Where is the Kabbalah channel, and the Hidbrot channel (Alak Hidbrot), and the DAYSTAR channel and the Middle East channel (say these are not Jews but for me they were you).
And show me one science program on Channel 2 or Channel 10, which are the most watched channels?

  46. Wow, what a UFO attack on Earth.
Who moved the winter time almost two months (!) ahead of time? and why? So that Eli Yishai and his group fast one hour less on Yom Kippur.
So what is the point of Yom Kippur fasting at all if the Holy One, blessed be He above, is deceived - we will fast for less than one hour and work on him. We will move the clock to winter time for all the people of Israel and destroy Israel's economy. All so that we can eat one hour earlier on Yom Kippur, so that the fast will not be difficult. And this is the true meaning of the verse: "And you answered your souls". They are torturing the souls of the country's citizens, because they moved their clocks to winter time two months ahead of time.

  47. To the editor
With so much negative publicity about the religious as you mentioned
How do you explain the rise of religion among the secularists?
They must be reading all these publications
In addition, it is a well-known fact that the number of science programs on television channels is immeasurably greater than religious programs
Among them are quite a few programs about evolution

  48. A. They lost their minds.
    B. The media really liked the religious ones in the last few years, oh how many series did they enjoy, all in order to win the tender to extend their franchise. What she doesn't like is the religious politics, but the religious don't need the media for their voters. Even their dead, who don't listen to the media, vote. By the way, in recent times the only ones to blame for this are you - the starving mother, the hospital in Ashkelon, the Shabbat parking riots, the mecca rabbi, daylight saving time, and unfortunately there are endless examples of bored people who don't work and only indoctrinate them in yeshiva so that they bite the hand that feeds them, they are able to do. Even the best lawyer will have a hard time defending this.
third. There are plenty of religious programs, especially for holidays, but also on a daily basis, there is one science program and it was also pushed to a problematic time - Friday at XNUMX:XNUMX. No child today knows what evolution is either from the media or from school. You have already won a long time ago, it's a shame that it is only a Pyrrhic victory that will ultimately lead to the destruction of the State of Israel.

  49. To the editor
From a personal impression, most of the media actually represents the secular side and attacks the ultra-Orthodox, where are all these religious programs you mention.
How many of these are there in total relative to the rest of the media
I have a feeling that your data is not based on the facts
Religion and the ultra-orthodox have actually become unpopular in the media in recent times
So what happened anyway to the seculars who returned to repentance
After all, they haven't lost their minds

  50. To the Hebrews, this is how it is when billions are poured into conversion, the workers must do something with the large amount of money poured into them, so they convert the seculars.
In addition, the radio and television wash the brain with religious and mystical programs, and the education system complements this by obliterating evolution. I don't think we will survive too long in the OECD with such conditions, the next generation will mumble instead of work.

And besides, if everyone jumps off the roof, should we too?

And to the root of your response - Israel is getting weaker.

  51. Gali and the editor
    Didn't you try hard enough?????

Israel is getting stronger: a quarter of the secular fasts on Yom Kippur
The Central Bureau of Statistics published today (Sunday) data regarding the nature of society in Israel. The data shows that one out of every five Jews living in the country reports that he feels closer to religion today than before. 42% of them report that the reason for this lies in the influence of their family and spouse, compared to 34% who attribute their religious strengthening to the acquisition of knowledge in the field.
The survey was conducted among Jews aged 20 and over. The survey also shows that 75% of the respondents reported that they had visited a synagogue in the last year. Also, more than 26% of the secular public fast permanently on Yom Kippur and 82% regularly participate in the Passover order.
The findings also show that Passover, Hanukkah and Yom Kippur are holidays that most traditional and secular Jews celebrate. The proportion of those who strictly eat kosher food during Passover is 48%, while the proportion of those who strictly eat kosher food throughout the year is 33%.
It was also found that 5% of the population (200 thousand residents) reported involvement in the process of repentance. Among the ultra-orthodox public, the figure is much higher: 22% of them define themselves as those who have repented in the last year after growing up in a secular home.
Evidence of the strengthening of the importance of religion among the secular public is found in the fact that an absolute majority of them, 86%, testified to themselves as those who observe Jewish tradition to some extent. This is in addition to the 10% of the secular public who make sure to regularly eat kosher foods.

  52. Search on Google and YouTube -

    Lifter

There are some really nice demos there (careful - very high voltage!)

  53. To Amitos, that's exactly what I meant to answer #1. When someone tells you that they don't think something will work out in the future, don't believe them. **Especially** if he is a scientist.

  54. "The public overestimates the possibilities inherent in aviation, and imagines that in a generation it will be able to fly to London in a day," wrote William Pickering, professor of astronomy at Harvard University, in 1908; "It is clearly impossible."

  55. Sounds like science fiction, stories about a substance that is used as anti-gravity are scattered in the air from time to time, these stories should not be taken seriously.
