stolen meat

One African predator is smarter than the lions and stronger than all the predators, yet for some reason they do not prevent him from hunting, simply by growing aphids for food for him

A well-known and prolonged debate between paleontologists and between them and anthropologists and others deals with the question of what was the source of the animal protein of the ancient human species, where and how they obtained meat to enrich their diet.

In the past, there was a lot of talk about the "brave hunter" who was skilled enough to hunt his own food, as more finds were discovered, the picture became less "heroic", as it became clear that most of the meat came from theft or robbery from predatory animals.

Our ancestors followed (from a safe distance) after predators and when the predator succeeded in hunting, if it was a small predator they would simply chase it away and rob its prey, while in the case of a large predator, they would wait for an opportunity and steal the meat.

There, too, the method is called "parasitic theft" (kleptoparasitism).

Parasitic theft is known and recognized among predators: lions chase hyenas, tigers, cheetahs and others and "buy" their prey, hyenas chase cheetahs and so on, the big and strong chase and "inherit" the weak. Now there is conclusive proof of the robbery method by... people. It turns out that in West African countries (and perhaps in other areas as well) meat robbery by people is taking a "respectable" place as a form of livelihood.

The method was published by two lion researchers working in Cameroon. The researchers, Mariolan Shaw and Amit Maun Leiden from the Netherlands, working in the Buenos Aires Reserve, followed a marked lion and watched him and a female eat a bobble (antelope) that you hunted,

When they got closer, they drove the lions away into the bushes, so the researchers left the place. When they returned after a number of hours, they met locals who had run away, when they approached the place of the prey, the investigators found a skeleton whose flesh had been stripped (knife marks) as well as leaves that were used to wrap the meat. The researchers' conclusion: the lions were smuggled by the locals and their hunter was robbed. The researchers say that although the incident is not related to the topic of their research, they decided to publish it. To warn of the danger that threatens the lion population in the reserve.

Another researcher in another reserve in Cameroon tells of a similar incident in which he saw how locals drive a lion away from the fresh prey (horse antelope) and rob the meat.

Following scattered observations published by various researchers throughout Africa as well as conversations with the Bororo people - (shepherd tribe), it turns out that robbing lion meat is a common and accepted method of obtaining meat, as soon as lions are found on prey they attack them with sticks and shouts, the lions with firearms) run away and the meat is stolen.

The researchers point out that robbery/stealing meat from wild animals is an easy source of obtaining animal proteins, when referring only to Cameroon, only one reserve where the number of lions decreased from 60 to 15 in a few years and when adding to the robbery of the meat the lions that are killed by shepherds because of their Predators of sheep and cattle, receive a sharp decrease in the number of lions, a decrease that brings the lions in West Africa to the brink of extinction. This kidney can be prevented by... Raising chickens....

Is there anyone else who considers himself a descendant of a "brave hunter"?

  1. to 5 (Yohanan) splash some kind of fizzy drink on them
(or just pour cheap wine on them) wait for them to leave
In their rush and sit in their place (perhaps as the son or the driver...).

  2. If so:

I think that the same method can also be practically applied nowadays:

They are waiting for the wealthy to take a seat in a beloved and extravagant restaurant in Tel Aviv, smell the smells of the grill and refresh their throats with red wine, criticize the music, who would surely prefer jazz rather than blues, cast a disdainful look at the other customers dining, and as soon as the entrecote arrives (200-800 sh "h) You jump out of cover, steal the entrecote/fillet from the northern hawks (if possible also take down what's left of the red wine, with the hint of plums, berries and the aroma of Keshal's Lulu) and eat your stolen meal just like the ancestors.

    Ahhhhh good life.

The use of the term "parasitic hunter" or "meat robbery" gives a value-judgmental reference to a phenomenon that is fundamentally anthropological-scientific.
After all, it is known that man exploits many animals for his various needs,
We eat the meat of cows, chickens, pigs (and what not),
The horses and donkeys plowed the land for us and served as a vehicle for us to travel,
The elephants and camels carry loads for us, in terms of live trucks,
Doves performed mailing services for us. And many more examples for the most part.
In short, man is a parasite on many animals, which he exploits for his needs.
Isn't it thanks to this that man got where he got?

  4. But they will eat their shit in the end
Because as soon as the lions leave the place they are dead or alive
Then they will have nothing left but I guess they are too stupid to think about that

  5. "I have bitter experience from encounters with firearms" –> I have bitter experience from encounters with firearms.
