The Israeli SpaceIL spacecraft, which will soon be launched to the moon, is built around a unique Israeli space computer. The computer contains the processor chip called Leon, manufactured by the Ramon Chips company in Ne'am and the Tower company in Migdal Hamek. The processor contains two cores and a collection of special interfaces for use in space. The cores operate at a rate of 100 MHz. Although this is a relatively slow pace compared to processors in phones and laptops (which run 10-20 times faster), but in space it is considered among the fastest.

What makes the processor unique and adapted to the space? First and foremost, resistance to the strong cosmic radiation in space. This radiation contains, for example, heavy ions that reach us from other galaxies at enormous energies. These particles pass the entire spaceship from side to side without feeling at all and without slowing down, and on their way they make names in the electronic chips. They fling charges and electrons everywhere as if they were billiard balls hit by a cannonball passing through them, and the entire electrical behavior of the chips gets completely confused. Commercial computers, such as Intel or Apple processors, would be completely dead within seconds in such a hostile environment. But Ramon Chips processors recover immediately and continue to operate as if nothing had happened.

Another essential feature of space processors is the ability to operate without air cooling. There is a vacuum in space. There is no air and no fans that can cool the chips. All the heat generated in the processors is eliminated in special ways, and finally makes its way in the form of radiation to outer space.

Special software is written for these processors. The software is built to recover from crashes and never stop. And it works! The Ramon Chips company has already sent such processors to Mars and a distant asteroid, and so far—after years of continuous activity—not a single error has yet been discovered.

In addition to the processor, the computer also contains memories, a power supply powered by solar cells and supplies electricity to the entire satellite, various measuring devices, cards to operate the rest of the spacecraft (for example, opening the legs before landing on the moon), sensors to measure the health of all parts of the spacecraft, and means of communication to the house.

The software built into the computer is responsible for guiding the spacecraft at all stages of the flight - from the moment of release from the launch vehicle, through space navigation that will bring the spacecraft to the moon, through the careful management of a careful landing while monitoring and photographing every moment, until the final stages of the mission which include the re-takeoff from the moon, sideways flight, and landing coming back The software is also supposed to immediately solve problems that may arise on the moon - as we know, the arrival time of a transmission of information from the moon to Israel is more than a second, and the time to return an answer is also a second or more, so it is impossible, for example, to drive a spaceship by remote control from the country. All the software was written in Israel and is unique to SpaceIL.

  1. The book Thought of Creation is the product of a personal crisis I experienced which motivated me to "get out of Egypt." That is, to put down the physical daily work and start engaging in spirituality.
After many years of studying Torah and Kabbalah books, investigating and comparing them to various scientific studies, I sat down on the bench to deal with the question of the thought of creation. In this confrontation, I asked many questions: Was the world created by chance or was it created with a first thought? What was the world created for? Does the Big Bang constitute the beginning of creation or did the creation of the world begin much earlier? What is the universe made of? What holds the universe together? What will happen to the universe in the future? When was man created? Did man come from the monkey? Is there any connection between all the people in the world? How can creation be studied? Is it possible to prove the existence of God? Is God attainable?
    Who can answer these questions?
In order to answer these and other questions, I read and researched everything known about the creation of the world and compared what is written in the Torah and its interpretations with the findings of science. I looked for answers and found them hidden in the Torah. The Torah is a secret language that holds a lot of information about the universe. The scientists study the universe every day and hour, and surprisingly there is a harmony between the results of their research and the prophecies hidden in the Torah.
Spiritual people and the righteous have the ability to contact hidden worlds. They revealed to us that there is one creator of the world - God. They enlightened our eyes to the fact that the world was created in thought, this is the thought of creation.
Man has a special role in the world: he must connect with his creator by refining his thinking and helping others, as it is written: "Love your neighbor as yourself". In this world the people of Israel have a role: to be the bridge connecting the physical world and the Creator of the world. Will we as individuals and as a nation succeed in fulfilling our role? Are we able to bridge the world and humans? Will the people of Israel be able to carry out their mission?
The infrastructure of the soul is found in the love of others. Fulfilling the commandment "love your neighbor as yourself" will give an individual the power to succeed in the position granted to him by the Creator. The key to success lies in connecting to the soul!
