How did life originate on Earth? Researchers have found the first, and probably the only, solid evidence ever that simple protein catalysts - essential to the activity of cells, the building blocks of life, existed at the beginning of life. A study about the primitive peptide, or short protein, was published in the scientific journal  Journal of the American Chemical Society.

In the late eighties of the last century, the chemist Günter Wächtershäuser hypothesized that life on Earth began on rocks containing iron and sulfur found in the oceans. Researchers in this field believe that short peptides were bound to metals and functioned as catalysts in the chemistry that created life, according to researchers at Rutgers University.

Human DNA consists of genes that code for the production of proteins that include several hundreds or thousands of amino acids. These complex proteins, which are required for the proper functioning of the entire living world, are the result of billions of years of evolution. When life began to form, it is likely that these proteins were much simpler, and they probably contained only ten to twenty amino acids. With the help of computer models, the researchers looked at how these ancient peptides were supposed to be and what their chemical roles were.

Researchers have designed a small synthetic protein whose core consists of iron and sulfur atoms. This protein is able to receive and release electrons cyclically, a mechanism that allows the use of these electrons in the cell for the benefit of the process of metabolism. The scientists used computers to run models of a protein with 12 amino acids and test it in practice in laboratory experiments. This protein has several impressive and significant characteristics - it contains only two types of amino acids (compared to about twenty types of natural amino acids that allow the preparation of millions of different proteins required for specific functions in the body), it is very short and it could have formed spontaneously on the surface of the ancient Earth under the appropriate conditions. The core of this peptide resembles the structure and chemistry of iron- and sulfur-containing minerals found abundantly in the early Earth's oceans. The peptide can also be charged and emit electrons cyclically without causing proco, according to the researchers.

"Modern proteins called ferredoxins work exactly like this - they transfer electrons inside the cell in order to support metabolism," says the lead researcher. "It is possible that the primitive peptide like the one we tested served the same role in early life."

With the help of computer models, the scientists scanned about ten thousand proteins and chose only four that they believe can be the building blocks of life - defined chemical structures that can bind together and form all the proteins used in all forms of life. The short peptide may be the starting material for longer peptides, and scientists can now conduct experiments to examine how such peptides functioned in early life.

  1. Daniel,

You copied your confused section, which is nonsense from both a scientific and a religious point of view, from some delusional sect website that has nothing to do with Judaism, and it was written about 8 years ago. If you were to write it yourself then you would indicate 5779 years and not 5771 years.

    Happy new year

It is necessary to differentiate between entropy (from where there is "disorder") and complexity.

On average - entropy increases over time. But, there is no preventing that in a certain place the entropy will decrease. And this is not uncommon - rainwater turns into ice in the winter - this is a decrease in entropy.

The world began very simply and will end very simply. During his life - (by and large) the complexity will increase, reach a certain peak and decrease. It may sound strange, but it is very easy to understand why it happens.

You wrote "But it was only 5,771 years ago (as of this writing) that a desire to discover the Creator arose for the first time in a human being."
I guess you think Judaism is the first religion. The Hindu religion started something like 5000 years before Judaism. And we know about religious ceremonies in Australia - 30,000 years before that.

Man did not exactly evolve from an ape. Man and chimpanzees (there are two species today) evolved from an ancient creature that was ape-like, but it is not considered an ape.

  4. Yes, but how does a pattern of a vessel/material form randomly or according to a certain regularity in the case of such a structure or form that allows this material to be alive, i.e. to have properties that do not exist in an inanimate material such as a crystal and to have a complex structure and not just a repeating atomic arrangement In the same spatial way such as salt crystals, or a simple and boring structure such as a hydrogen atom. Why is the complexity of the arrangement of the opaque structures of non-dark matter in the universe increasing instead of decreasing. After all, the combinatorics of the quantum subatomic particles can be complicated already at the first moment of the big bang (which, by the way, was not a bang and was not big), after all, logic says that the universe should start with maximum complexity and from there develop in the direction of decreasing complexity, just as a dementia patient fades and wears away from life and from The entropy in the universe which says that over time the things in the universe are getting more and more eroded and "messy".

  5. The first substance appeared from a point of light, or a thin ray of light that gave birth to the opposite desire to light. A ray of light, it's not a ray of light in our world, but it's a desire to influence that created under it a desire to receive. Desire is power.

The big bang happened about 14 billion years ago. Its reason - a spark of the supreme light reached its lowest level in the mantle of egoism. The spark contained within it all the matter and energy of our world, from which the entire universe later developed.

About 4.6 billion years ago, as a result of the condensation of the solar system, the Earth was formed. For several billion years the Earth's crust cooled, until the atmosphere and life were formed. [1] There is nothing accidental. Every development is the result of the application of the information, which is in that initial spark of light.

After the inanimate nature, the flora, fauna and man appeared. The interpretation given to evolution according to the external form we see - that is, the appearance of a species that evolved from a certain species, and from which another species evolved - is not correct. The reason for the appearance of every detail in nature is according to the information that was rooted from the beginning in the spark of light. Evolution is actually a process of revelation (development) of data (genes), called in Kabbalah wisdom "lists".

Hundreds of thousands of years ago, man evolved from the monkey, as Ari also writes in the book "The Tree of Life", [2] but it was only 5,771 years ago (as of this writing) that for the first time a desire arose in a human being to discover the Creator. The day he began to discover the Creator is considered the "day of the creation of the world" from a spiritual point of view, because it is when the spiritual development of the human race began, but it does not refer to the time of the formation of the material world, which took place billions of years earlier.

  6. Laws of life, in principle the researchers are right indeed the mentioned materials have existed since time immemorial on the earth but it is important to note that the one who created from these materials a tiny animal form and for a billion and a half years determined designed and accompanied the spontaneous development of the living plants in the sea and on land and the one who created man is God. Without God, there would be no creation at all. The maximum that can exist without divine intervention is the creation of cells that reproduce on their own in the most basic and most primitive way, and the maximum splendor of creation that could be obtained without God's intervention is an amoeba maximum devoid of essence and content. How can the scientists and researchers explain the creation of the gene aliens by the connection of some iron oxide. Materials and components did exist and from them God created creation and this is exactly what God did in the creation of the aliens when he made use of materials that exist in nature. God never created nature, nor is he able to create anything, but from nature he combined materials and created creation.
