A kingdom called "Palestine" existed in the 11th-12th centuries BC in northern Syria and on the border between Syria and Turkey

A new discovery was discussed at an international conference of the Departments of Biblical and Archeology at the University of Haifa that dealt with the Ancient Near East in the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries BCE From the new evidence, discussed at the international conference held at the University of Haifa, it appears that Philistine kingdoms existed not only in the Land of Israel but at least in another area of the Ancient Near East

A large kingdom called "Palestine" existed in the 11th-12th centuries BC in the area between the cities of Halab-Hama and Antioch in northern Syria and on the border between Turkey and Syria today - this is what Prof. JP Dessel (JP Dessel) from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, member In the excavation expedition to Tel Tayinat (TAYINAT) in Turkey at the international conference for the study of the Ancient Near East held at the University of Haifa.

The significance of the finding, which was discussed in a special session dedicated to the subject, and led by Prof. Itamar Singer, one of the world's most important histologists, from Tel Aviv University, is that a Philistine kingdom existed not only in the Canaan region but also in other regions.

Following the fall of the Hittite Empire at the end of the 13th century BC, smaller kingdoms arose in the areas that were subject to the rule of the Hittite Empire. One of these kingdoms was located between the cities of Aleppo, Hama and Antioch in northern Syria and on the border between Turkey and Syria today. In his lecture, Prof. Desal said that from new evidence found at the excavation site in Tel-Taynat in the Antioch Valley, it becomes clear that the name of the kingdom was "Palestine". The inscriptions are recorded in the Hittite hieroglyphic script, and other inscriptions in this script that mention the name "Palestine" - were found both in the city of Aleppo and near the city of Hama, the biblical Hamath.
The name of one of the kings of "Palestine" in the Malab and Hama inscriptions is TAITA, and it reminds the name of Tu'ai/Touai, King of Hamath mentioned in the Bible.

"This is a very important discovery that shows that 'Philistines' held not only the shores of the Land of Israel but also Syria. Moreover, the kingdom in Syria is weak over larger areas than the Philistine cities in the south of the country. This kingdom probably existed in Syria only in the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries BCE, and in later periods the kingdoms of Hamath, Patina/Emek, and Arpad took its place," noted Prof. Gershon Galil from the University of Haifa, who organized the conference.

  3. When in our region we got used to the superficiality of the discussion, ignorance, cheap demagoguery and spin,
What a wonder most Israelis don't really know themselves.
There are Palestinians, and that is us.

The people of Israel live in the Land of Israel. A fact that cannot be disputed, even by our enemies.
The Land of Israel was renamed Palestine or Palestine by the local rulers of that time.
Everyone who lived then in the Land of Israel was and is considered to be a Palestinian, or a Palestinian.
The Palestinians were and still are Jews, Muslim Arabs, Christian Arabs and others

Since the idea of a partition plan, our enemy, our neighbors, have not accepted our being here.
The pogroms that existed - always in the same direction of Arabs against Jews - were tens, hundreds and thousands of years before any idea of the establishment of the Israeli state and Zionism.
On October 7, with growing courage and the thought that they have a chance to get what they always wanted, their truth was revealed to those who did not yet know it - they do not want to live next to us within the borders of 67', they want to live here in our place and today they are talking about 48' and more.

The State of Israel made a strategic mistake when it chose the name for itself.
The division was between Jewish Palestine and Arab Palestine
In practice, the State of Israel, aka Jewish Palestine, also accepted into it those who were previously considered to be enemies - some of the Arab Palestinians. and hence
The full name of the State of Israel is Jewish and Arab Palestine
While the enemy, those who did not know us, want to be Arab Palestine only, and control the entire area from the West Bank to the river.
This is what they teach their children in school

    And meanwhile with us?
They fail to realize that only by collecting a price in the land in any war against us, we will survive and be deterred.
Otherwise, they see our withdrawal back to the previous borders with them, despite the military victories - as our loss and weakness, which raises their motivation to live here in our place, and not by our side.

  4. Even if there was such a kingdom, it is in the territory of Syria and Turkey. what's the problem In Syria, Assad murdered millions. Transfer the Gazans to him and Erdogan and come to Zion Goel.

  5. There is no archeological or historical finding. Years ago there was a nation called "Palestinians". A territory can be called Palestine or Oz, it's the same thing.
There is no aryochical finding about lesser royal people or dogs that can be found on a coin. pitchers etc.
On the other hand, Israel and Judah can be found even before 2000 years.
    Rewriting history will not last.

  6. This is an interesting scientific discovery. Do not mix national or personal feelings with science. The discussion here is not political. And if someone insists - to summarize - there is nothing to do with the genetic origin and the right to life of all human beings. We hope that political solutions will be found, but they do not belong to the issue. Concentrate on the interesting scientific and archaeological facts. Do not mix a feeling of hatred with the historical truth. In science there is no left and right - Jews or Arabs. Science and facts belong to all members of the human race and everyone has the right to live a good life.

  7. Yes we are the ones living in the movie.
How did we not get over the fact that there is a plan to destroy Israel and how?
We didn't think to search for it on Google, after all it is known that plans to abort
Countries are information that everyone has access to.

  8. You live in a movie or what?

Turkey and Syria are countries that are only trying to increase their territory,
There is no chance in the world that Palestinians will exist there.

On the other hand, Israel is a democratic country that supports dialogue and tolerance,
Tolerance that the Arabs take full advantage of, with the goal of eventually controlling all of Israel's territories.

Search on Google: the step plan.

  9. The ignorance that appears in the talkbacks here is something special.
Let's say this is not true and the name Palestine did not exist at the time, what exactly is that
Proves that archeology can give validity to this or that people on this or that area.
The area of Israel has been known as the province of Palestine for 2000 years, since Emperor Hadrian got tired of the rebellions in the area and therefore decided to erase the province of Judah
totally. Does anyone really think that the Palestinians today are really related to those people who lived then at that time?? Or in the same way the Jews today to the ancient Jews

  10. The Jews will not Judaize Europe, and most of the Palestinians who are in Israel today are Arabs who arrived at the beginning of the last century and there is no blood relation between them like with us Jews, for the Bible about the genetic connection between the Jewish population read the following article http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-3899666,00.html

By the way, I would love to hear the opinion of the website editors about the things mentioned in the body of the article.

  12. Dear Friends

What's the fuss about? You cling to the title of the list and do not look at it itself. In fact, there is no Torah innovation in the study because it is a settlement-ruling sequence of the Philistine kingdom from the outskirts of the border with Egypt and north, northeast towards the Fertile Crescent. Let's not forget that the Bible itself testifies that during the days of Saul and David, most of the strip between Egypt and Lebanon-Syria was controlled by the Philistines.
So, dear friends, and especially those who are in a hurry to grant the Palestinians a sovereign, trans-Pristian territory, in the northern region in question, you should calm down. Your desire to confirm and corroborate the research discussed in the pragmatic aspect will lead you to admit the continuity of the Philistine rule at that time and its conclusions to the present day.

  13. What brothers and what shoes....

Palestinians are an invention of the British from the Mandate period... during the Ottoman rule they were generally treated as Bedouins who gave up migration and settled here and there..
By the way.. the land never belonged to the "Palestinians" because the Lapendim people .. they can be attributed to a kind of structure of pseudo-feudal rule like in the Middle Ages .. the land belonged to the Empire and she let the Lapendim lease it from her..
What a shame that no one addresses this today that as if this people has no legal foothold anywhere they even own the land they themselves live on...certainly not ours..

  14. There is a high probability that today's Palestinians are actually descendants of Jews who did not "exile" and converted to Islam.
They think this is a more reasonable answer than such a total migration or such a deportment that even the Nazis, who were certainly more organized, were unable to carry out, and certainly without leaving evidence anywhere of that exile,

My concern is that the exile was probably not a cultural migration but a spread and "Judaism" of Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa (and Ethiopia?) and those who remained (who are not Bedouin according to any similarities in culture or appearance) simply converted to Islam, became thinner, and mixed with the Christian and Muslim (and other) populations. conquered the region,
so that they are actually more brothers than cousins,

  15. Commenters 11-12 read to the end and you will understand that Mirum Golan is joking, there is no need to attack him.

  16. Syria and Turkey should allow the Palestinians the right of return to historical "Palestine", and also return to the Palestinians the territories between the cities of Halab-Hama and Antioch in northern Syria and on the border between Turkey and Syria today that belonged to the Palestinians from ancient times.

I am sure that Syria and Turkey will not object to this since there is Muslim brotherhood and a sense of unity between them and the Palestinians.

  17. Commenters 11,12 I would bet that commenter 7 is Hamed Latsun, and from the sarcasm in which the last few words of his response are dipped you should have concluded that he does not really mean what he wrote 🙂

  18. to 7 Is it extreme in your eyes to express an opinion different from your own?
But is the discussion here related to Rabin's murder?

  19. For 7, because of Jews like you there was the destruction of the first and second and maybe even three houses.
The Palestinians, the same people that did not exist before 48, are in total Bedouins who came approximately 200 years ago to our beloved land of Canaan!!! and settled in it.
Unfortunately, they succeeded in brainwashing the world and a number of delusional leftist Jews.

  20. To Adi, what's wrong? I am also considered (at least in my own eyes) among the world's leading hythologists. In recent years, and especially after the birth of my two children, I have become a world-renowned expert, and only my wife precedes me. Of course, sometimes the smells bother you, but you get used to it. You should also try.

  21. The mentioned Philistines were part of the sea peoples who invaded from the islands of Greece and Crete towards the shores of the Levant and reached Egypt where they were defeated by the pharaohs and retreated north and settled along the coast in Israel and Syria
There is no historical and genetic connection between them and the Arab Palestinians

  22. Let's start with the fact that the Palestinians of today have nothing to do with the Philistines of that time.
The name was invented by the Romans thousands of years later.
I don't understand why you are surprised, after all you have a people who immigrated to Israel and its shores. So what's the wonder that they migrated there too?

  23. To respondents 5-6: You should be prohibited by law. Your responses constitute extreme rightism for its own sake, I see that you have learned nothing from Rabin's murder and you continue to murder democracy, and to turn the mouth of the High Court of Justice government - which is democratic to the point that it elects itself.

  24. It is worth remembering that they do not have even the faintest connection to that nation or kingdom and besides that they will probably not demand territories in Syria and Turkey because the purpose for which this nation was invented is to have a reason to attack Israel and enslave this region of land under Islamic control.

  25. For commenter 3, the Palestinians will demand both, they will not agree to give up Yosh.

  26. Nice nice
It seems to me that we have found the lost home of the Palestinians, maybe now the absurd demands for a state in the territories of Judea and Samaria will finally stop???
I am sure that Syria and Turkey would be very happy to donate some land to their brothers...isn't that right?

  27. Interesting article and interesting find.
The new format of the site - if it is a permanent format, extremely ugly.
But we don't look at the jar after we comment about it.

    Greetings friends,
    Ami Bachar
