The course, intended for XNUMXth-XNUMXth grade students, was developed by the SpaceIL association, in collaboration with the "Tashiyide" association. This is an annual course, during which the students are exposed to the world of space, the Israeli space industry, to SpaceIL's first Israeli spacecraft mission to the moon and its challenges. In addition, the students in the course are exposed to fascinating scientific knowledge in the field of space, learning about products developed in accordance with the extreme conditions in space - in order to make the field accessible to the younger generation and enhance their scientific and technological curiosity.

The course has been held for three consecutive years in schools all over the country, in the various sectors. So far, nearly 13,000 students have participated in it, as part of about 450 courses that have been transferred.

"During his visit to Israel, Bolden asked to meet with the students who participated in the SpaceIL educational program to inspire them, tell them about his experiences as a NASA astronaut and answer their questions."

Bolden said to the students: "You are the 'Martian generation.' Big things are about to happen in Red Planet exploration before you even graduate high school. Maybe the SpaceIL spacecraft will continue to Mars in the next mission, after the moon.'
"My message to you is - don't be afraid of failure. If someone tells you that you can't do something just because of where you come from or your ethnicity, don't believe them.'
