Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres, Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai and King Abdullah will work together to establish a large factory for the production of electric vehicles at the border in the Peace Valley, which will provide work for approximately 100 workers, both on the Jordanian and Israeli sides. This was announced today, at the end of the meeting of the three as part of the discussions of the World Economic Forum, which took place on the Jordanian side of the Dead Sea.

Emek HaShalom is a collective name for a joint project between Israel and Jordan, which includes the "Moval of the Seas", a canal and a pipeline that will connect the Red Sea to the Dead Sea. As part of the project, tourism projects, an artificial lake, a power plant and employment-generating projects will be established, one of which is the factory discussed today.

The proposal to establish the plant came from the Israeli side, and is in fact a promotion of the proposal of Shay Agassi, who recently retired from the management of the German company SAP, and of the industrialist Eitan Wertheimer, of Yishkar Industries, owned by the American billionaire Warren Buffett.

The plant that will be built on the Israeli-Jordanian border is only part of a series of projects intended for the Peace Valley, a project promoted by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister Shimon Peres, who is also the Minister for Development of the Negev and the Galilee. At the same time, the exact location of the plant in the Peace Valley was not disclosed.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Eli Yishai, added that this is a high-tech project that will strengthen the position of the State of Israel for the development of alternative energy, an issue that is gaining momentum all over the world. It was also agreed at the meeting to establish an Israeli-Jordanian working team, which will conclude the memorandum of understanding between the two countries, regarding all the projects that are to be built within the Peace Valley. The three called on international companies to submit proposals for the projects that are proposed and should be built as part of the project.

I believe that if Agasi is involved in the matter it means that a widespread electric vehicle is a matter of time!!
So get ready for a quiet electric ride... I hope it will be possible to charge the car from the outlet at home!!
