Prof. Ilan Mark of the Technion received the Jansen Prize for Pharmaceuticals

Professor Ilan Marek from the Technion Faculty of Chemistry won the Jansen Prize for Pharmaceuticals, for creativity in organic synthesis.

The prestigious award was founded in 1986 as part of the first Belgian conference on organic synthesis - BOSS, in honor of Dr. Paul Jansen, founder of Jansen Pharmaceuticals. The award is given every two years, as part of the BOSS conference, to a chemist under the age of fifty who has made a significant contribution to the field of organic synthesis in the broadest sense. The awardee is also asked to give a talk at the BOSS meeting.
