After the Ministry of Science recently announced government support for the project of the first Israeli spacecraft to the moon, amounting to up to NIS 7.5 million, Minister of Science Ofir Akunis, Director General of the Ministry Ran Bar and Director of the Israel Space Agency Avi Blasberger came for a tour of the space factory where the spacecraft is being built. The project has so far been funded mainly by donations from private individuals, led by the philanthropist Maurice Kahn and the Dr. Miri and Sheldon Adelson Foundation.

"The event is a great pride for the country, in fact it is a national event for everything. We are shortly before the historic launch of the spacecraft and I have no doubt that the joy of all the citizens of Israel will be felt when the spacecraft takes off," Minister Akunis said during the visit. "I strongly believe that the landing will be one of the highlights of the State of Israel. Alongside this, the educational activity we do together lays the foundations for male and female engineers who will work in the field of space and science in the next decade."

"What started as a one-and-a-half-liter bottle-sized model for a competition, became a prototype of a commercial spacecraft with the ability to reach the moon," noted SpaceIL CEO Dr. Ido Entavi. "This is the future of the Israeli spacecraft industry."

The president of the SpaceIL association Maurice Kahn said: "I am happy to reach this moment. The spaceship is the project of the entire Israeli people.'

Ofer Doron, manager of a space plant at the Aerospace Industry, who hosted the visit, noted that space engineers at the Aerospace Industry are working day and night in order to complete the last engineering activities on the spacecraft that will soon embark on its journey towards the launch to the moon.

The Vice President of SpaceIL, Sheri Brosh Rave, said during the visit that "We welcome the fruitful educational cooperation with the Israel Space Agency at the Ministry of Science, especially in the field of science and technology education. Through the spacecraft project, we will allow students in Israel to dream big dreams in our small country. From an educational point of view, the spaceship is a success story in any case."

  1. Mr. Narcissus. It is possible that there is a situation where you are a failure. As a non-scientist, you are unaware of the scientific implications of the moon landing. A. Launcher power. B. the accuracy of the route. third. computing d. communication. God. Geological knowledge. and. Security elements and other things you are not told.
Drive carefully, so that they don't write good things about you in the newspaper.
    Good Day.
