Little hope for our fading environment

Perhaps the governors of the US states will be able to develop a system to reduce carbon emissions, despite the opposition of President Bush, as a similar forum accepted the establishment of nature reserves 100 years ago, although at the time it was encouraged by the president. A challenge to the next president or female president

A conference of state governors in the USA brought a little hope for our fading environment. The organizers of the conference that dealt with climate change hope to change an attitude similar to what was the case a hundred years ago.

In 1908, the governors of the USA gathered to discuss nature conservation, under the patronage of President Roosevelt, the foundations were laid for a new system for nature conservation. The conference was the impetus for the establishment of the "National Parks System", the same system that over the years became the Federal Nature Conservation Authority.
Roosevelt showed a vision when he brought the governors of the states to establish a federal authority that for many years set an example for nature conservation bodies all over the world. In a framed article we will recall that the "visionary" managed to completely separate the conservation of nature in the US from the need to preserve nature in the world, as evidence... a ship loaded with 200 tons of skins, horns, tusks, heads and animal parts, which sailed from Mombasa following a hunting trip by the visionary president .

Now that the leading power in the world taught everyone the "culture of consumption", shaped the "culture" of the car, became the biggest polluter, (there is competition with China - 250 million competitors out of a billion),

Now state governors are convening in order to take action to prevent global warming, the gathering at Yale University is supposed to be a turning point in the US commitment to positive action on climate change. Also present will be the prime minister of Quebec, and environmental scientists from around the world. Yale University is supposed to set the example by cutting emissions to 10% less than it was in 1990, according to scientists this is the cut required worldwide to prevent a disaster.

The conference is supposed to be part of a series of initiatives that are supposed to pressure the federal government to take action. Basis in fact should be al-Gour's call for a three-year campaign, in which the US will invest in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 28 governors and 600 mayors have already joined and started practical initiatives, given the fact that the three presidential candidates declare their intention to act firmly for the goal of reducing emissions. There is a chance / hope for improvement.
