XNUMXG wireless networks have negligible health effects

Long-released findings from an Oregon State University study into the effects of radio radiation generated by wireless networking technology that will soon become the standard for mobile phones indicate few health consequences.

Fifth generation wireless technology, which has been deployed around the world since 2019, provides faster communication and a wider bandwidth, that is, higher download speeds. However, in light of the fact that fifth generation technology is so new, only a little is known about the potential health effects of the radio radiation emitted as part of it, which is higher than that existing in the current standard, fourth generation. Research conducted at Oregon State University is beginning to change this situation.

"Based on our research, we don't think that fifth-generation radiation is that dangerous," said Subham Dasgupta, a research associate in Robyn Tanguay's lab at the University of Oregon. "It is mainly benign (non-cancerous)". The researchers conducted the study using zebrafish embryos, a living model often used to discover interactions between environmental stress and biological systems. Zebrafish and humans have similar developmental processes and are similar at the genomic level, meaning - research in zebrafish can be easily applied to humans.

As part of the study, the findings of which were published long ago in the scientific journal PLOS ONE, the researchers exposed zebrafish embryos for two days to radio radiation at a power of 3.5 GHz, the frequency normally used in fifth-generation mobile phones. The researchers found no significant consequences on mortality, on the way the embryos develop or on the behavioral response of the embryos to radiation. They did find little effect in a test that looked at the reaction of the fetus to a sudden sound, an effect that will be examined further in the near future. Future research should focus on the effects of the fifth generation radiation on those zebrafish at the nursery level and during their development from the embryonic stage to the adult stage, the researcher explains. The researchers also intend to examine the effects of higher frequencies and higher exposure levels on zebrafish, to keep up with the ever-changing mobile phone industry.

The future study will use the same standardized experimental system that was used in the current study. The experiment is based on a box made of copper. The zebrafish embryos are placed on plates that are inserted into the box. The radiation enters the box through an antenna and the copper itself keeps the radiation inside the box.

  1. The title of the article "XNUMXth generation wireless networks have negligible health effects" is a misleading title.

The subject of the article is the effect of exposure to the 3.5GHz frequency
The frequency range around 3.5 GHz is also used in the third and fourth generation (and also in the fifth generation).
The innovation of the fifth generation is the use of frequencies higher than 24GHz, called "millimeter waves".

The title of the article in English:
Impacts of high dose 3.5 GHz cellphone radiofrequency on zebrafish embryonic development
The subject investigated is the effect of the 3.5GHz frequency, and not the effect of the fifth generation.

  2. You will not deploy this network, if there is any doubt there is no doubt point.

Nissim, don't be fooled, you know very well that living near cellular antennas is not "optimal" to say the least and you have read many cases of entire neighborhoods that got cancer due to living near such an antenna.

It's carcinogenic and it may not be ionized, but this multiple exposure is dangerous. More studies or at least a pilot in volunteer laboratories or cities are needed to see the long-term benefits of this thing.

  3. Conan
What is the power of a microwave oven and what is the power of a 5G antenna at a reasonable distance?

    This is my argument….

And by the way - I happen to know the numbers...

  4. By the way, here is an investigation by snopes - a fact-checking site. A claim circulated that a 5G trial killed birds in the Netherlands. It originates from an activist who runs several conspiracy websites (for example he claimed that the fires in California were caused by energy weapons as revenge of the elite in the state of California).
And no - that's simply not true.

  5. Conan,
If you have read many such articles, surely you can post a link to such an article published in a scientific journal.

Until you post the link, please enjoy the following fake video from 2008: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqIZDIxJgXw
And here is the confession of a company that sells bluetooth headphones: https://www.wired.com/2008/06/bluetooth-compa/
In the meantime, think about who might be cooking the story about the cooking birds.

  6. Miracles,
I back up Reuven: I have indeed read quite a few articles and publications that report on dead bodies of birds and bees close to antennas, with photos that show how they were literally "cooked" when they crossed radiation zones near antennas; Death occurred within seconds.
In fact, the microwave was discovered when microwave radiation (of relatively low intensity) melted a chocolate bar that was in the pants pocket of an electrical engineer in the 60s.
If you still don't believe the lethality of the 5th generation networks, which by all accounts have a significant frequency and power - try putting a cat (or even a cockroach) into a regular microwave, and turn it on for a minute (or less - depending on your type of microwave). Now think that this radiation will surround you 24 hours a day, wherever you go.
I would love to hear your arguments now.

  7. You have noticed that electric current and electromagnetic radiation affect this
About that ? And that brain cells work using electric current - did you notice?
And that a phone to the ear for a minute a day destroys certain functions of the brain and it is known which function where we will be found... not from cancer - not from cancer - from Jackk!
And why didn't you notice? Because it needs a command that you eliminated for yourself
Already in 1995, with the entry of "Cellcom"...

  8. "We don't see negative results" - see the mess of protests about everything,
of violence in the family, of violent fights in public places...
In the past, too intelligent women were burned because they did not see germs
And the king was not comfortable spending tax money on sewerage.

  9. As a follower of the free market, I think that the market will solve the problem in a satisfactory manner, and along with the fabric corona masks, aluminum foil hats in a variety of eye-catching designs will be sold at mall stands.

  10. According to many, a lie bought with money.
How do you boil water in a microwave? Has much lower frequencies than the 5th generation frequencies. full of bees and dead birds near the antennas hidden in led lamps working at tens of ghz. Whereas with bare antennas the frequencies according to rumors can reach up to 300 ghz and possibly even up to 400 ghz.

  11. Absolutely not, but there is a difference between a complete lack of trust in capital and government and a lack of trust in scientific facts.

  12. Did the scientist side with the capitalists and the government?
What happened to so many facts that the writer completely ignored. In short, he was rude and ignorant

  13. The WiFi works at the 2.4/5Ghz frequency, so why don't you see the consequences of this?

  14. If you deploy this network it will be the end of all of us, the percentage of cancer incidence will rise...how do scientists understand this!? .. all under the auspices of Kidam.

  15. The science site, you have recently become more and more a platform that comes to justify controversial issues. is it possible?
