The American Academy of Medicine has announced the winners of the international competition awards for research focused on finding solutions to improve and prolong life for 2021, including Prof. Ilana Gozes from the Sagol School of Neuroscience and the Sackler Faculty of Medicine. The competition is an international collaboration of more than 50 countries and it was opened to about 1000 candidates from various fields of research, including medicine, economics and social sciences.
Prof. Guzes is an internationally renowned researcher in the field of molecular biology of the brain and the development of drugs for Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia and autism, who has received appreciation and many awards for her work, including the Champion of Hope and the outstanding scientist for the discovery of the gene for ADNP from an association GLOBAL GENES Landau Prize and Humboldt Prize. In her current research for which she won the prestigious prize, Prof. Gozes and her international research group, which includes renowned artificial intelligence scientists from Hong Kong, offer an innovative approach based on artificial intelligence to improve the ability to find the most suitable drug cocktail for a patient based on the genetic information available about him.
