It happens more than once that when several people are sitting in the living room watching TV and an argument begins about the volume. The Novato company announced SoundBeamer is an audio device that, according to its developers, is expected to change the sound experience around the world.

NOVETO is an Israeli start-up company that began its operations in 2015 and has since registered patents in the USA, China and Europe. The company was founded by Tomer Shani and Noam Bavioff, and the CEO is Dr. Christoph Ramstein (former vice president of engineering at Logitech and successfully managed several start-ups in the past).

Novato is a start-up company that has developed a breakthrough technology for transmitting audio to the user without having headphones or another accessory on him. The audio experience is innovative and unique, and when watching nature clips or a computer game, the feeling is that the listener is completely inside the experience. It's something that's hard to explain, but it's definitely an unusual and innovative experience. It is important to note that while the user is listening to audio, he is not cut off from the environment and maintains full communication with the environment, a matter that differs from the experience of using headphones.

So, how does it work? The new device called SoundBeamer has a camera that locates the user's ears and many ultrasonic speakers that focus acoustic energy on the user's ears and build a kind of audio pockets near the user's ears and the sound is kept near the user's ears even when he moves. Sounds like science fiction but it works exactly like that and the performance is impressive.

Everything is controlled using chips that the company has developed and operated through an app. The connection to the device is a Bluetooth connection and any accessory can be connected to it - mobile phone, computer, laptop, television, etc.

Four months ago, Novato signed a production agreement with Foxon (the largest manufacturer in the world that produces Apple, Sony, Sharp, Nintendo and others) and will begin pre-sales (limited edition) already this month, when the product will be shipped from the manufacturer during the fourth quarter of this year (October - December 2021) ). The prices have not yet been published but it seems that the price for the consumer will be less than 500 dollars and those who hurry and reserve their place in the pre-sale will receive a significant discount. It seems that the quantity that will be for sale at this stage is less than 5,000 units and the company expects very high demand.

The first market that the company is targeting is the home market which, following the Corona crisis, has become much more active as people work and study from home and do not want to disturb family members but also not be cut off from the environment and this is exactly what this technology allows. The company believes that the use of conference calls, viewing online content (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), use of home fitness facilities and all audio consumption in the home space or home office will be very comfortable and natural, and after using the device I can definitely see it happening.

Of course, computer games can also benefit from the technology offered by advanced XNUMXD applications.

Other markets that the company will enter in the future are co-working spaces, the car market, digital advertising and more.

The company's vision is to change the way people consume audio and in fact to become a new standard in the field of audio between the speaker and the headphones and to break new ground in the consumer electronics space, something that Israeli companies rarely did in the past. Tomer Shani (founder and cto) and Gil Lev (commercial manager) believe that Novato will be the next big thing to come out of Israel.

To date, the company has raised 22 million dollars from private investors and institutional investors (among them the largest car company in China) and is currently in the process of raising another 20 million dollars. The company owns patents protecting the technology in Israel, the USA, China and Europe.

During 2021, the company plans to sell about 15,000 devices, and later move to models of granting licenses and selling its chips so that many companies (such as Samsung, Apple, car companies, etc.) can integrate the solution into their devices. In the future, Novato aims to become an accessible platform and interface for the worlds of AI, as the system is equipped with a microphone and camera and can operate using voice commands, recognize gestures including facial gestures and promote the human-machine interface as well as enable the creation of innovative (anonymous) big data information.

A limited edition of the product will be sold during the second half of January and in February in a pre-sale on the company's website, and will be physically marketed to consumers towards the end of 2021.

A global launch is held simultaneously in Tel Aviv, Berlin, Shanghai and Miami, at the same time as the CES exhibition that has been held for decades in Las Vegas and this time it is held in the digital space.
