The panel of judges: Yael Engler (CEO of the new media company Spreadit), Dodi Goldman (Science Reporter), Eilat Dekel (Director and Editor of the Midnight East Culture Site), Ilan Lukach (Culture Correspondent at Channel 2 News), Moran Sa'ar (Director of Advertising at The Box company) and Rami Schechter (CEO of Hi-Net Interactive).
The jury chose first place in the video "Six facts about sex you never wanted to know" and noted in its deliberations the structure of the video (which is divided into six separate parts, as required by the name) as a correct and appropriate structure throughout the video, and the name of the video, the pace, the narration and of course the content, as important and proven factors For the virality of the video.
The jury chose second place for the video "Space Settlement: A Possible Future" by Alon Biran and Avi Blizovsky, and third place for the video "Let's Get Messy" by Bat-Sheva and Gon-Galamidi and Moti Galamidi.
As of June 1.6.2011, 23, all of the videos produced at the "Viral Science" workshop had more than 14 views. The top videos are "Six Facts About Sex You Never Wanted to Know" by Ran Peleg andRoey Tsezana with over 4000 thousand views and the animated video "In the Eyes of a Scientist" by Amir Burnett and Yoav Landsman with over XNUMX views.
Cezana and Peleg, who won the two prizes - the most views and the judges' prize (along with each prize a cash grant of NIS 1,000) asked to transfer the cash grant that comes with the judges' prize to Alon Biran and Avi Blizovsky, the creators of the video in second place.

In April, the British Council held a three-day workshop that dealt with the creation of digital scientific content and its promotion on the Internet. The workshop, produced by Uri Aviv, was initiated by the graduates of the Council's FaymLab competition and was designed for scientists with proven communication skills who chose on their own initiative to take part in programs and projects in the field of science communication.
After a pair of lectures about home video production (by Ziv Kitro, an experienced video blogger) and digital marketing (by Lior Zuraf, former VP of Marketing at Microsoft and a digital marketing expert), the participants began a 30-hour creative marathon over an entire weekend, in which they produced Videos that presented some scientific issue, in an accessible and interesting way, up to three minutes long.
