The conference, The Israel Innovation Summit will take place between April 4-5. This is the first conference of its kind in Israel focused entirely on the core of innovation in the fields of science, technology and life sciences

Between April 4-5 (Tuesday-Wednesday) The Israel Innovation Summit will be held - the first conference of its kind in Israel focused entirely on the core of innovation in the fields of science, technology and life sciences.

The conference is organized by the companies Elron, Olive Bay and PricewaterhouseCoopers Israel, in collaboration with IBM, Intel, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Applied Materials, the Pitango venture capital fund, Givan Imaging, the patent attorneys office Gal Ehrlich, Elbit Systems, and other companies. The conference will be held under the academic sponsorship of the Technion, and under the industrial sponsorship of the Israel Life Sciences umbrella organization (ILSI) and the Israel Electronics and Software Industries Association.

This year, the innovation conference will deal with the following areas: nanotechnology, genetic medicine and medicine with the help of stem cells, wireless communication, distributed computing, search technologies, next generation communication, semiconductor devices, imaging (medical and other), non-invasive medical devices, and more. The purpose of the conference is to create a meeting of academic researchers, entrepreneurs and start-up companies in the various stages of development, with investors, venture capital funds and key people from multinational organizations, who will exchange ideas and opinions, discuss collaborations and examine investments.

Senior executives from leading multinational corporations, CEOs of high-tech companies traded on Nasdaq, and CEOs of leading companies in the fields of technology and life sciences will speak at the conference. Among the lecturers who have already guaranteed their participation are the presidents and CEOs of the companies NDS, Zoran, Orkit, Givan Imaging, the Siemens venture capital fund, and GE Healthcare Israel, the director of the nanotechnology board in the European Union, senior vice presidents from Intel, IBM, Applied Materials, Broadcom, and more. In addition, start-up companies and academics will present about 100 projects with innovative technologies and breakthroughs in the selected fields. As part of the conference, The Israeli Innovation Award will be awarded to a leading figure in the industry, who through his actions expresses Israel's achievements in the field of technological innovation
