The Chairman of the Planning and Budgeting Committee, Prof. Manuel Trachtenberg, received an update this morning from the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Ministry of Education, MK Gideon Sa'ar, that the Director General of the Ministry of Education, CPA Steven Stav, informed him of His wish to end his position on March 1, 2010.

Following the announcement, Prof. Trachtenberg updated the members of the OT and thanked the CEO for his term of office. for the promotion of the higher education system in the last four years. Steven's extensive experience ensured the continued development of the system even in a period of cutbacks and internal and external struggles."

CPA Steven Stav has held the position of CEO of MLG since March 2006. In the past, he held a long series of positions in the higher education system in Israel and, among other things, held the position of accountant of the "Bezalel" Academy of Art, internal auditor of the National Academy of Sciences, vice president for the budgeting of the Council for Higher Education and a financial and accounting management expert in the World Bank project in West Africa.

Stav worked in a number of sectors in which he recorded great achievements and, among other things, managed to regulate uniform accounting reporting in universities, strengthened the quality assessment unit of MLA, promoted and developed MLA's foreign relations with the European Union, the higher education system in the USA and other relevant bodies.
