38 candidates have already signed up to fly to the hotel that will be operated by the space tourism company Galactic Suite, for a four-day journey to orbit 450 kilometers above the surface of the earth. The journey will cost 3 million euros, and will include 18 weeks of preparations for tourists wishing to experience space. Preparations will be made on an island in the Caribbean where the trainees can travel with their families.

Of the 38 tourists registered through Company Website Since January 4, 2008, four Spaniards - the country where the company's headquarters are located and the rest include eight Americans, seven residents of the United Arab Emirates, six from China, five from Russia and three from South America.

The company has prepared a program of activities for space tourists that will include four days of travel. "Tourists will arrive at the site equipped with all the necessary items to stay like in the extreme shelters on Earth." Galactic Sweet founder and CEO Javier Claremont explains. "The play will offer a training program that will allow the body to adapt to the conditions of space," he explained.

One of the most innovative experiences the tourist will be able to experience will be the toilets in zero gravity. So far, the team of engineers and architects of Galactic Suite have developed the space spa, the first spa to be installed 450 kilometers above the earth as one of the rooms in the space hotel. The spa will include 20 liters of water bubbles.

The tourists, who have already been trained to ignore the effect of water in a state of weightlessness, will be able to play with the bubbles and divide them into thousands of bubbles - a game that never ends. In addition, it will be possible to share the transparent bubbles with the other guests.

A spaceport in the Caribbean

The space port of the Galactic Suite company, the first space port in the world will be built on an island in the Caribbean and the project should soon be signed by the architects of the company headquartered in Barcelona. Galactic Suite does not rule out the possibility of building another space port in other countries in the world in order to allow access to many hotels that will be built in space for as many people as possible.

The spaceport will for the first time include a revolutionary launch system designed to maximize security and minimize the impact on the environment. The company's team of engineers and architects designed the infrastructure on which the spacecraft will accelerate on a magnetic levitation system and cross the Maglev orbit. This state-of-the-art technology will include an accelerator suspended in the air above a road, which will be propelled forward by the repulsive and attractive forces of magnets.

After the spacecraft reaches the speed of sound, it separates from the accelerator and booster and reaches orbit - 450 kilometers above the Earth using a rocket engine. During the separation, the booster will disassemble and return the Maglev to the starting point in preparation for the next launch. The length of the runway will be about 5 kilometers to allow the spacecraft to accelerate to a speed of one thousand kilometers per hour in less than 20 seconds.

The founders of the company explain that the Maglev technology will enable commercial flights into space. The most expensive part of the journey to low Earth orbit is the first few seconds - leaving the ground. The technology will be competitive in price compared to other methods of space flights, and it is also safer and more stable than all methods" they are quoted in a press release.

Galactic Suite is a private space tourism company founded in Barcelona in 2006 that is designed to provide the first global experience of space tourism and that will combine an intensive training program for the astronauts as well as the possibility to relax during the activities on a tropical island while preparing for a space journey.

The ultimate goal of the company is to make space tourism accessible to the general public and develop the first chain of hotels in space. According to the plan, the first tourists will be able to arrive at the hotel in 2012.

  1. A thousand kilometers per hour is about 0.3 kilometers per second.
To enter the track you need about 7 kilometers per second.
    Not a big deal.

  2. It would be nice if there was a sketch of a launch method somewhere
    this missile

  3. To (.)...in case you didn't understand...the hotel is rated - "no star-star".
And about Israelis?..we'll think about it..hmm..it's about..18 million NIS..
More or less?..and another..18 … days of preparation..?.?

And for the Spaniards..well of course..with the "Nigerian sting"..the world is small for them, of course..

And what's for sure, the curiosity is growing, in my veins, moment by moment..watching..to come

  4. enthusiastic:
Maglev is an acronym for Magnetic Levitation
There are already trains that operate with this method and according to what is written here, they are currently planning a launcher that will give the initial acceleration this way.

  5. Sorry, but I'm not completely clear about the take-off method. What does "maglev" mean? Where/how does the accelerator depend and at what stage does it operate? At what stage does the rocket engine come into action? How does the accelerator return to its place? In the pictures on the site we see a track that curves upwards, is that what it means? I would love to receive answers from those who know. Thanks

  6. I didn't understand the part about the water and the bubbles. what is this thing
Chutsamza, a thousand kamos, that's cute.

    Greetings friends,
