Here was a forest

The size of the Amazon forest in Brazil is the size of Europe and experts say that 20% of it has already been created!

Europe / the European Union, is considered an organization whose environmental quality is high on the scale of priorities of its agenda. Not only considered, but also active and doing a lot for the preservation of nature and the quality of the environment on the continent and in the world, so why is "Europe eating the Amazon forest"? And this is not a theoretical or abstract question, the facts show that in order to meet the nutritional needs of European residents, thousands of dunams of rainforest in the Amazon basin are being destroyed.

A survey conducted with the help of satellite photographs, inspection of authorities' documents and a ground survey showed the extent of the damage to the forest. Tracking the shipments of the beans showed the involvement of the European food companies that receive the beans and also (of course) China is a "preferred customer". According to a report by the Greenpeace organization from Rio de Janeiro: Soybeans grown in the Amazon basin are used in food chains to feed these chickens and are eaten by Europeans in fast food restaurants across the continent. Food chains such as McDonald's have breeding farms where they feed the poultry with soybeans grown in areas created from the Amazon rainforest without permits and contrary to the Brazilian law, a law designed to protect the rainforest from wild cutting.

It turns out that those companies are not allowed to supply their goods in the USA if and when the authorities are aware of the origin of the beans, meaning that the supervision prevents companies from marketing products that harm the environment in order to produce them. Apparently, in Europe there are no appropriate regulations and no close supervision.

In a report called "Eating up the Amazon", the authors point out how large areas of forest are cleared to cultivate soybean fields whose crops are intended for poultry farms, farms belonging to fast food companies such as McDonald's. Directly and intelligently, meat producers prey, pollinate, destroy and destroy the Amazon forest in order to grow cheap meat and supply it to supermarkets and restaurants under commercial names such as "Chicken McNugget", which means that every time the consumer eats or buys one of the meat products, he "accesses" the Amazon forest!

Following the growing demand for soybeans, Brazil has become one of the largest suppliers. It has been known for some time that the soil in the forest plots that have been created is poor in minerals, so the cultivation of the plots is limited to several seasons.
There are regulations that require landowners to leave 80% of their land forested! But the supervision has relaxed the regulations on the one hand and the viability of growing soybeans on the other hand causes the farmers to ignore the regulations, the cultivation is carried out by cradles whose condition is close to slavery which adds insult to crime.

To draw public attention to the damage, ads were pasted in England and Europe depicting Ronald McDonald holding a chainsaw and cutting a tree! Following the report, McDonald's quality director promised that the company would open an investigation to check the reliability of the claims since, according to her, the company considers itself responsible for preventing environmental damage as a result of its activities and will therefore do everything to prevent the damage, right? Even if McDonnells stop their destructive activities, there are still about thirty smaller companies that are engaged in marketing meat that originates from breeding farms that are fed soy from the Amazon.

The burning of the Amazon forest harms the diversity of species, reduces the absorption of pollutants, the burning is done by burning the material left after felling, which means adding pollutants to the air, fires in the Brazilian forest add 370 million tons of greenhouse gases every year, which is about 6% of the world's "production".

Thus, in order to provide food consumption, mainly poultry for the European market, the Amazon rainforest is being destroyed
And countries that declare their commitment to the environment cause environmental destruction on a huge scale.
