Minister Akunis said today: "The entire nation mourns the untimely passing of Rona, who touched the heart of every Israeli. Rona dedicated her life to educational projects for young people, students and teenagers, out of a real mission to strengthen Israel's future. I decided to name all the ministry's mentoring scholarships after the noble woman Rona Ramon and to commemorate her educational legacy and her social work."

As part of the mentoring project, which is considered one of the flagship programs of the Ministry of Science, every year 1,500 students from all over the country receive an annual scholarship of approximately NIS 9,000, in exchange for mentoring students in grades XNUMX through XNUMX in the fields of science and English. The program is designed to make science studies accessible and stronger among high school students, especially in the periphery and among populations of low socioeconomic status, and to help students improve their grades.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has been a partner in Rona Ramon's path in dozens of joint projects to promote the field of space in Israel, especially among children, youth and students, named after Ilan Ramon, including: the establishment of the Ramon Government Fund, the SpaceLab program, the Space Olympics and Quiz, the Israeli Space Week, research scholarships For students and those earning money abroad in the field of space, the International Space Conference, the Ot Ramon program and more.

  1. Luckily there is a science minister in Israel who receives a huge salary.
About his first decision that I don't oppose.
Most of the time he is busy introducing politicization into the academy.
Like disqualifying a world-renowned scientist for a job. Because of her political views, (I personally have nothing in common with her views and I probably don't agree with her politically on anything. But that's really irrelevant)
