3000 employees will be recruited at the Technion in the largest job fair in the last ten years

45 leading companies in the Israeli economy are going to recruit 3000 employees at a job fair that will be held at the Technion on January 10. This is the largest fair of its kind in the last ten years. According to Broria Sommer-Fedida, who is in charge of placement and employment at the Dean of Students' Office, the fair will be spread over 89 booths. A year ago, 30 companies participated in the fair, spread over 67 booths, and two years ago, only 16 companies participated in 41 booths.
"We clearly see a continuous increase in the number of companies participating in the Technion job fair in recent years, which indicates a significant improvement in the advanced industry in Israel and the importance these companies attach to Technion students and graduates," said Dean of Students, Professor Yoram Tsimels.
Among the new companies or those that returned to participate in the fair after an absence of several years: Alcatel, Amimon, Estiye, Bank Discount, Django, Dania Sibus, Daxon, Melam, Matrix IBC, Matan Miskhuthun, NETUP, DB MOTION, MRV, ABC, Tadhar Technologies conference.
Among the companies participating in the fair and which also participated in the previous fairs - Intel, IBM, Elbit Systems, Teva, Microsoft, Motorola, Qualcomm, Red, Zoran, Check Point, Nice and Mercury.
According to Broria Sommer Fedida, this year also saw a significant increase in the number of companies coming to the Technion job fair from Jerusalem, from the center of the country and even from the south. Some of the companies announced that they intend to hire XNUMX employees each and that they prefer Technion students and graduates with a high grade point average.
