The Fourier company from Rosh Ha-Ein is currently conducting a global launch of the Einstein tablet device, which is defined as a new platform for science studies, as part of its participation in the BETT conference to present technology in the education market. Einstein was selected as one of the finalists in the category of the outstanding digital devices of the year at this exhibition.
Dr. Eli Clemenzon, the pedagogical director of Fourier, explains in a conversation with the science website that Einstein contains a combination of all the capabilities of an Android tablet with a system consisting of 8 scientific sensors, some of which are found in every tablet (accelerometer, GPS, microphone) but also unique sensors such as humidity sensor, heart rate sensor, thermometer, light meter, and ultraviolet sensor. It is also possible to add another eight external sensors to the device at the same time from a selection of 65 company sensors.

"Beyond that, we built a system that produces scientific activities called EINSTEIN ACTIVITY MAKER. The teacher can build an activity on his specific subject of study that will have a lot of digital numbers because he can also integrate within the text an infrastructure for conducting an experiment. After developing the experiment, the teacher uploads it to a 'store' called the Einstein Store, and then the student, either at school or elsewhere, can download it and perform the same research activity, including links to the sensors inside the tablet. It allows conducting the experiment, storing the data and analyzing it.
The Einstein device is currently sold in 25 countries around the world, including the USA, Germany, France, Russia, Canada and Mexico. In Israel it is marketed through one of the companies specializing in marketing scientific equipment for the education system.
The company received permission to use Einstein's name from the Hebrew University, which holds the rights to Albert Einstein's name and likeness.
