Diary of a swine flu patient: How scientists plan to take over the world with the flu virus

Where did the swine flu virus come into the world? Is it really a conspiracy of the governments / the World Health Organization / the big pharmaceutical companies

When I got up in the morning I came to the realization that today I have to write the last chapter in the ``Diary of a swine flu patient'' series. I am happy to say that already yesterday my temperature started to drop, and today it has already returned to a completely normal level. Although my throat still hurts, and occasionally I cough, but in general I'm already on the health line. In fact, I'm so healthy that yesterday my appetite returned, and in the evening I already took advantage of an El Gaucho delivery flyer, which tempted me with palate-stimulating pictures of huge ciabattas filled with thick and juicy steaks of sirloin and entrecote. I ordered one sandwich with sirloin, and one sandwich with entrecote, and only a moment before the messenger arrived I realized that I actually didn't want to infect him with the remnants of the disease, if there are still any.

The situation required quick thinking. Fortunately, I had medical face masks within my reach, the kind that the Japanese wear on the street when they don't want to spread a runny nose. I hastened to put the mask on my face and went out to meet the messenger. Maybe it was because of the problematic lighting, but it seemed to me that his knees were starting to shake when he saw me approaching him with the sterile mask.

"Don't worry, I'm not a ninja!" I tried to calm him down.

"I would prefer you to be a ninja," he confessed to me. I took the food, tipped him for the added risk and sent him on his way. In retrospect, maybe it was a mistake, since only at home did I realize the magnitude of the horror that lay in the shipment. The gabetta turned out to be a soft and sweet bun, and the steaks... well, it pains me to write this, but I got shawarma. And not tasty shawarma. I had to try really hard to feel the taste of the meat inside that cute little bun.

I am not a person who tends to rage. Actually, I do, but only in moral issues like when someone weak is beaten, or when good meat is abused. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, in every possible sense of the word. And so, at the peak of misery of a flu patient (pigs?) who had just recovered from his illness, wanted to eat a good meal and was disappointed, I raised my eyes to heaven and asked: Why?

The answer, of course, did not hesitate to come. "It's a conspiracy!!" Whispered the dark little part of my mind, which suffers from fever regularly. "The government is against you!!! They engineered the swine flu and released the virus into the world!!!! And then they must also have started financing El Gaucho!!!!!"

"Are you sure?" I asked hesitantly, noticing from the side my dear fiancee watching me with concern. She knows how upset I get when restaurants mistreat good meat, but she's never seen me talk to myself after a meal like this.

"Probably!! These scientists, it's all their fault as usual. They engineered a perfect virus and it was released from the labs and now it's attacking everyone!!!" To my dismay, the voice of the conspiracy is full of exclamation marks as usual.

"Wait, I'm a scientist too," I objected. "I know the scientific community. We don't usually do things like that. We have no business destroying the world. And even if someone is crazy enough to do it, they need a whole lab of researchers to even start researching the virus."

"Views?!" Eletz the voice, "So if only they find a scientist who is crazy enough and finance a whole laboratory for him..."

"And a lot of crazy researchers who will help him, but not crazy enough to tell everyone on Twitter what they are doing..." I helped him.

"So the scientists can really make the swine flu virus!!!!!" finished

"No."

"No?!"

"No."

"Why not?!!"

"Because the swine flu virus is just too good."

"Sorry?!"

"What you heard. He is too good. It spreads too easily from person to person, it is about as deadly - but only about - as a regular flu virus. It is too effective to be man-made.”

"I do not understand!" The inner conspirator got mad at me. Sometimes I think he insists on not understanding things I tell him. "If it's so effective, it only means that someone must have made it!!"

"Yes and no. On the one hand, it really raises the suspicion that someone created the virus. On the other hand, give me some credit - I know biology. Like any science, biology is also a shared science - every discovery is immediately available to everyone. No scientist keeps discoveries to himself, because that way he will not become famous and will not advance in the academic ranks. And the fact is that even if we wanted to engineer a perfect flu virus, we wouldn't be able to do it yet, because we don't understand what exactly makes the virus perfect."

"What do you mean?! You just told me what makes it perfect!! It spreads easily and is deadly!!!"

"Yes, but that's what you see from the outside. This is the effect of the virus. But how do you program these traits into his DNA? What mutations do you need to introduce into the genes of the virus to make it more violent, or to survive better in saliva drops, or to cope better with the immune system?"

I will take a short break. "I do not know…!" the voice confessed.

"That's because you were sleeping while I was listening to the lectures," I said contentedly. Every once in a while I too am allowed to defeat my personal conspirator. "The truth is that as of today, no scientist knows exactly how to engineer the flu virus to make it more virulent."

"It must depress you!" The voice sneered wickedly. Sometimes I think he knows me better than I know myself.

"Yes, a little," I admitted. "Ultimately, if we understood better what makes the virus more violent we could design better drugs against those factors."

"Well, I don't care!" The conspirator tried to return the conversation to areas more familiar to him. He doesn't like to talk about things that really help people. "But you can't deny that this virus still couldn't have emerged without help!!"

"Oh, why not?"

XNUMXD visualization of the influenza virus. From Wikipedia
XNUMXD visualization of the influenza virus. From Wikipedia

"Because it's a virus that contains parts of the swine flu virus, the bird flu virus and the human flu virus! Each of them comes from a different animal, from a different part of the world - from America, Europe and Asia!! How could it happen that pigs from Asia met chickens from America and rubbed shoulders with humans from Europe?!!!"

"On ships?"

"what?!"

"On ships. in airplanes. in trucks. Animals are constantly transported from place to place, even between continents. And their viruses get mixed up every now and then.”

"prove it!"

"Wait, you want me to prove it to you? I thought conspirators were supposed to believe anything that sounded out of the ordinary."

"...!"

"Ok. The truth is that it is really not difficult to prove the matter. A study has already been conducted that showed that the current flu is the descendant of an almost identical strain, which circulated in pigs on several continents for several years, before it managed to pass to humans as well."

"And who did the research?!"

"Oh, scientists?"

"Ah-ah! Let the cat judge the cream!!"

"Do you still believe that scientists cannot be trusted?" I sighed. "Okay, pay attention. Maybe that will convince you more. There have already been other cases in history where mixed flu viruses were created that came from birds, pigs and humans. In fact, in the nineties England had a virus just like that. But that virus was not violent enough and was not contagious enough, so it did not reach the level of spread that the current virus has reached. But the point is that already almost twenty years ago there were viruses similar to the one that exists today, and at that time we were even further from understanding the genetic code of the influenza virus."

Pause again. Even conspiratorial voices need to stop and think every now and then. And finally, the comeback.

"Perhaps," the voice hesitated, "we will at least agree that there is something strange and unpalatable in El Gaucho?!"

"That," I said, "even I can't argue."

Amazing. If you don't know terms from another discipline, then are they irrelevant or meaningless? I have a slight suspicion that you understood, but what will you do if it turns out that you were wrong. Still, you expressed a willingness to learn nonsense from a charlatan. I apologize for my (lost) honor and offer to answer any question and even invite you to me for free, no money (befitting a charlatan).

  2. His, the whole theory of homeopathy ultimately boils down to how and how much money can be taken out of the client without him feeling cheated and even on the contrary feeling as if it is helping him.
His, according to your responses it seems that you are undergoing quite professional training on the subject of cheating and charlatanism. Shame on you, there are enough idiots in the world who will believe fraudsters like you, so I don't think you will have a professional problem in the future.

  3. His,

If you meant to throw out a bunch of unrelated terms, and permutations with no real meaning, you succeeded.

I have no intention of learning surgery from a knife salesman, but I'm certainly willing to learn from charlatans about bullshit.

So you confirm that treating patients with dilutions as above may produce a reaction, we have made progress. The dose in homeopathy is not the most important thing, the rule is: the smallest dose that will still cause a reaction. The most important thing is the specificity, or sensitivity of the patient. After all, the tallow did not react to any solution, whether more or less diluted. As well as not to any mechanical stimulation - she did not react to a gelatin coated stick but to cotton wool. This is why if we give such dilutions of a certain substance to several people there will be some who will react strongly while others will not react at all.
In homeopathy there is no cure for a disease/bacteria/virus but for a specific patient according to his reaction to the causative agent. It requires a high level of individualization and naturally a long study (4 years for starters).
Osilo is not a homeopathic medicine (although it is diluted) but a commercial product under the name of homeopathy.
    A. Because it was not tested on healthy subjects to find out what it causes.
    B. Even if an experiment is conducted as above, you must have a thorough hearing to find out if it is "homeopathic" for you. Because there is no cure
    Just for the flu.
Yes, it is long, tedious, inconsistent with what is known. Don't try to learn it from a drug saleswoman. You wouldn't try
Learn surgery from a knife seller or nutrition from a vegetable seller.
At your disposal any explanation that may be required

    You easily won.
The grievances were only due to the ignoring of historical/scientific facts that may not be convenient (even for Darwin).
By the way, what about Darwin's experiments with Drosera?
Darwin (1874) 'The 1/4000000; of a grain absorbed by a gland clearly makes the tentacle which bears this gland become inflected; and I am fully convinced that 1/20000000 of a grain of the crystallized salt does the same. Now I am quite unhappy at the thought of having to publish such a statement.'
Yes, our friend Darwin didn't like what he saw either, and it wasn't the highest dilution he tried. And he tried different materials and different dilutions and a lot - like a good scientist. Oh well, maybe Hatalit believes in homeopathy... I don't. I believe what I see.

  6. His,

A few years ago I had an epiphany about online debates. It can be summarized well in the following link -

This is also the reason I will not try to compete with you in grievances and hurling insults. The answers are in the links.

  7. Dear connoisseurs, junior priests in the science colleges and just wall watchers.
Your lack of reference to response #18 is puzzling. You don't know English? Or you simply don't see what you don't like to see. Is this how you also behave with the results of a scientific experiment that does not match your basic assumptions?
You're actually quite similar to the church that said it doesn't need to check, since it's clear that the earth is in the center and everything
revolve around it (which does seem logical and acceptable).
Read what the high priest, Darwin, wrote even though he was afraid to publish it before he checked and rechecked. It does take courage
To walk the unpaved path and the great ones had. Without it they could not face the ridicule and scorn at best or the focus at worst. Darwin was not a pen starling forming an opinion based on a clever conversation with a market peddler. He observed and made countless experiments, which he recorded with impartial fidelity.

  8. Dawn,

I admit that it is rather amusing to read over and over again about the thousands of conspiracies that lie behind every conversation, but to be honest, it is already a bit tiring.

By the way, do you know the term "paranoid"?

  9. The meat makes you sick.
Unless you caught him in the yard and slaughtered him, you have no idea what they pushed him, fed him, injected him with.

Roy, your innocence is mischievous. The logic with which you solve evil from the world almost reminds me of teddy bears I care.
You believe that everyone like you is a good kid with glasses who sits at the laptop and writes down the musings.

The truth is that there are people in the world who have a lot of power and money and that's all they care about. Not me, not you, not your friend's sister. money and power
The more people die, go into nursing or get sick and fund medicine, the happier they will be.

Back to the topic, even if the virus is a natural product, the hysteria is still inflated by the media, they announce to you every day how many are going to die in the near future, how much it will cost us and how many more have died of unknown causes but it is clear that it is swine flu.

Have you noticed that whenever there is an assassination of a police officer, an ambassador, or just in an embassy building - no terrorist organization comes out announcing that it is them, but the newspapers always report on al-Qaeda?

Did you notice that on September 11, 2001, a third building collapsed without being hit by a plane? Did you notice that he fell in 7 seconds in complete defiance of the laws of physics? Did you notice that it collapsed into itself and into its elements?

Did you notice that fluoride is rat poison and still according to the law the State of Israel introduces it into our water?

  10. Hello Roy
Still waiting for confirmation of my response. Maybe it's convenient to ignore her and let things sink into the abyss of femininity. I was concerned about your health but according to your writing I see that you are like a rising spring. well done.
The following links concern Darwin's studies (a known hypocrite) on the effect of homeopathic dilutions on a plant
The talisman, as well as on it.
A true science lover will read this carefully and wonder. Maybe there is some conspiracy here, maybe it will even amuse you.
Laughter is good for health, he said hello to you.

    Pleasant reading

  11. Money is not everything, the fact of the matter is that if it was everything then it wouldn't be everything, it would just be money, I hope you understood.
Can someone get me a loan for a short time, $10 will be enough

  12. First of all, I'm glad to hear that you're feeling well already 🙂
I also generally believe that the government controls everything and sometimes does things that we little citizens don't understand.
But in this case, the gut feeling is that it's a normal flu that just this time we were able to discover it in time and give it a name. After all, everyone is afraid of bombastic names like "swine flu".
Regarding the meat you ordered, I would recommend that instead of ordering junk food that usually tastes the same as the other junk food, buy real meat and grill it the way you like.

It is important for me to note that your writing is beautiful and I would happily buy a book you would write about a scientific conspiracy 🙂

  13. Surely there will be side effects to the vaccine, I will be careful in any case,
    Apache……

  14. Rumors about conspiracies are very good for those who want them
Sell books on conspiracies, if you can find them
A hit that affects the whole world and you write about it
A book with a conspiracy in it will be found to be plausible enough
They will buy it - just like they will always be found
(from a large enough audience) they are willing to pass
Funds for the Nigerian sting, despite the trick
    Well known and used.

  15. And... I just wanted to compliment (at the "who knows how much" time).
Roy, even when you are sick, you continue to make us "sick" of you.
Your writing, as usual, is captivating.

  16. age,
"You don't have to be a mad scientist, get up in the morning on your left side and make several mistakes in a row..."

In reality, you don't invent a super virus or a substance that makes you an invisible superhero because of a mistake,
Leave Hollywood and the clichés ("only those who don't work don't make mistakes") in their place and don't insist on introducing them to reality.

  17. Must have gotten a fat tip with a lot of viruses on the coins
A deadly virus is a virus that spreads quickly, is active in all seasons, easily passes between several different animals, and changes quickly.
He will acquire his deadly mutation later on,
Just a small change is enough to eliminate several hundreds of millions.
You don't have to be a mad scientist, getting up in the morning on your left side and making a few mistakes in a row sounds more than reasonable. Only those who don't work don't make mistakes.

  18. The rule is simple, anything that generates money someone has already thought of it and done it.
And if there are exceptions, they are very rare.
