All the points in space that maintain the beacon constitute the surface and appear in the image of the surface. For example $x^2 +y^2+z^2=1 $ is a sphere. Using the surfer software it is very easy to create beautiful surfaces. You are supposed to connect equations with missing three in order to use them to create beautiful surfaces.
