The shuttle Discovery may lift off tonight

Although still the chances in favor of the launch are only 30%

The space shuttle Discovery is on launch pad 39B in preparation for its expected launch tonight at 03:47.

During the day, NASA personnel filled the spacecraft's fuel tanks with 2 million liters of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen. The technicians will continue to fill the containers instead of the gases that will evaporate due to contact with the hot air.

So far, no technical problems have been recorded in the launch pad or in the ferry itself and the countdown continues towards the launch at 20:47 local time - as mentioned 03:47 on Sunday with us.

As of 23:30 p.m., a cold front still prevails in the Kennedy Space Center area, and the sky is partly cloudy with occasional gusts of wind. The current chance of launch is 30 percent, however the forecast continues to improve, and the hope is that by the time of launch, the sky will clear of clouds.

We will come back and update in the morning.
