NASA continues preparations to launch the Atlantis shuttle tonight at 18:15 Israel time. The forecasters at the Kennedy Space Center are talking about a 20 percent chance of some sort of weather problem. The technicians are still investigating the sensor problem, but it may be possible to make do with the remaining three sensors and disable it.

NASA canceled the Discovery launch at around 17:50 - about 50 minutes before the scheduled time. This is due to a fault in one of the external fuel tank sensors. Earlier, during the countdown, flight controllers discovered a problem with one of the four ECO sensors inside the hydrogen area of the orange external fuel tank.
The sensor monitors the hydrogen level in the tank and is the cause of shutting down the shuttle engines when the gas level drops below a preset level. Currently the postponement is only for 24 hours. details soon.

Preparations continue for the launch of the Atlantis shuttle in about an hour and a half - 18:41. All six crew members of the shuttle had already entered it and locked the compartment. They continue to operate switches and switch the devices to use the electricity produced inside the shuttle. The space shuttle Atlantis will not be launched before Friday, September 8 at 11:41 am EST - 18:41 pm Israel time. NASA engineers are asking for an extra day to examine the malfunction in the shuttle's fuel cell.
STS-115: Atlantis launch scheduled for today delayed again due to fuel cell failure

The launch of the space shuttle Atlantis has been delayed again today by at least 24 hours due to a problem with the shuttle's #1 fuel cell. This is a short circuit in one of the parts of the cooling engine of the fuel cell, which happened immediately after starting the cell for the flight. The fuel cells are the ones that provide the required electrical voltage during the flight. The shuttle has no solar panels.
The mission managers are expected to gather at 13:00 US time (20:00 Israel time). At the end of the meeting there will be a press conference that will be broadcast on the NASA website.
