I wrote a lot previously on topic The killing of elephants in Africa And I need it again after criminals murdered one of the largest elephants in the world. The elephant is well known and familiar to many visitors to the Tsavo Reserve in Kenya. The elephant was named Satao and is considered one of the "must see" things for anyone who has visited the reserve. At the beginning of July 2014 Satau was murdered and his two huge tusks were cut off according to nature and environmental protection organizations, at the current rate of killing African elephants will be extinct within 15 years! About 50 adult elephants are killed every day. Every day tusks are cut to make ornaments and support the tradition. The main growing and developing market for the bloody trade is in Thailand. Experts claim that Thailand's leaders are avoiding action to stop the bloody trade and are busy with false advertising instead of acting.

In order to stop the murder, the intervention of the European Union and the USA, by the conservation organizations, is necessary. This intervention should come from conferences on the conservation of nature and the environment and control of trade in animal and plant products (CITES). Pressure on EU and US representatives will result in intervention that will stop the murder.

organization Avaz (AVAAZ), a voluntary organization that deals with various problems and has already proven successful in many cases, is organizing a petition that will be submitted to the representatives of the European Union and the USA and will demand that sanctions be imposed on Thailand to end the murderous trade. ,
We invite the readers to add their voice and shout to the reading and sign The petition to save the elephants. It is also appropriate to distribute to allow others to sign.
For the time has come that instead of controlling the environment for the sake of the human population, there will be control of the human population for the sake of the environment!

  1. Yes indeed in Thailand there are laws and yet there is a thriving trade in ivory as well as other protected animal parts,
Likewise in Western countries, the petition calls for laws and enforcement to be tightened,

  2. As far as I know, Thailand has clear laws for the protection of elephants, and if more laws need to be enacted, you can contact the authorities there. In any case, it does not seem to me that submitting a petition in a western country will be of any use. There are murderers everywhere - also murderers of human beings, and the ones who need to deal with it are the local authorities and not a stamp on a piece of paper in countries whose residents don't even know what the capital city of the country is the subject of the signature.

  3. As soon as they announce SHOOT ON SIGHT to anyone who dares to touch the chip of one of the amazing animals, I think it will change quite a lot. But why should the UN do its job?
