After completing the mission aboard the station, the Techonauts will return to the Shenzhou spacecraft, detach from the station and return to Earth a day later, so that the total duration of the mission will last 33 days.
At a press conference held on Saturday, the deputy director of China's Manned Space Engineering Office, Wu Ping, said that the technical specifications of the new Shenzhou spacecraft are largely similar to the previous spacecraft launched in 2013, but that several changes and improvements have been made. Among other things, changes were made in the technique of reaching the desired trajectory for docking with the space station, which, unlike the missions conducted with the previous space station, Tiangong 1, will be conducted at an altitude of 393 km and not 343 km.
