"Smart even in the night" is a night of diverse scientific events and activities for children, teenagers and adults, which will include fascinating meetings with scientists, night tours on science and nature, demonstrations, workshops, sessions and many other diverse activities, suitable for the whole family.
On this evening, the science museums and research institutions will open their doors to the general public free of charge.
The activities will take place in the following institutions:
- Migal - Upper Galilee Knowledge Center, Kiryat Shmona
- The Science Museum - Madatech, Haifa and the Technion
- The Bloomfield Science Museum Jerusalem
- Hebrew University of Jerusalem
- The Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot and the Kalor Science Garden in Rehovot.
- Ben Gurion University in the Negev
The Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz, will open the "Smarts even at night" events at Migel Kiryat-Shmona and will open the poster exhibition as part of the poster design competition for the project for 2010. The Ministry's CEO, Sher-Shalom Jarbi will open the events at Medatech , Haifa.
The project "Smart even at night" is taking place for the fourth year under the auspices of the European Union and will take place throughout Europe on September 25, with the aim of bringing the general public closer to the scientists and arousing interest in the various science topics.
