In response to the question of the science website where the additional amount, approximately NIS 45 million, is intended, Minister Hershkovitz replied: "We have many plans. The extra money won't even be enough for all the features. We intend to go in several directions of assistance in the development of research infrastructures, in particular we wish to enter some areas that are particularly important in the current period such as green energies, and continue investments in the field of nanotechnology."

"Also, I want to further promote the regional researchers program as well as Telam - a body that pools resources from various ministries to promote research of the utmost importance."

"Beyond that, I am preparing to start a program in the field of education called 'Science Flowers'. The intention is to bring science to the youth community, especially in times when abilities are smaller, in less developed areas, both the geographic periphery and the demographic periphery - there are areas that may not be geographically peripheral, such as Bnei Brak, to which it is important to bring science. Yes, I would like to continue developing the Israeli Space Agency.

How did you manage to achieve during a period of cutbacks?
Hershkovich: "I think that even in a period of cutbacks, investment in science is an investment in the future of the country because we are taking care of capital or the almost only resource we have - human capital. The result indicates a very important priority order of the government."
