Lost contact with Shipriley landing on Mars; The Exo Mars rover has safely entered its orbit

"Initial signals were received by a radio telescope in India as Schiaparelli descended to the surface of Mars, but there is still no signal of a landing," the European Space Agency wrote in a blog.

Two news from Mars, one good and one bad. Let's start with a good one - the spacecraft TRACE GAS ORBITER - the Martian probe of the European Space Agency's Exo Mars mission has entered the orbit around Mars, as planned. The spacecraft was designed to observe the atmosphere of Mars and locate remnants of gases that may indicate the existence of life.

However, the people at the control center in Darmstadt are more occupied with the Shipriali lander, which landed this morning on the floor of a meridian crater on Mars, however, from the moment it entered the atmosphere, contact with it was lost and has not been restored until now, about 12 hours after landing.

"Initial signals were received by a radio telescope in India when Schiaparelli descended to the surface of Mars, but there is still no signal of a landing," the European Space Agency wrote in a blog published at 11:12 CET (12:12 Israel time). They expected that the Mars Express spacecraft, which recorded the landing from its orbit around Mars, would transmit the data it was supposed to receive from the lander, but this possibility was also falsified.
The lander was equipped with a heat shield to protect it from the heating caused by its friction at a speed of about 1,500 km/h. A parachute was supposed to open at a speed of 230 km/h and at least for the last 30 seconds nine rocket engines were supposed to operate towards the ground to slow down the fall. The European Space Agency said that the body of the lander also contains passive braking systems - like in cars, to soften the landing.
The Exo Mars mission is a joint mission of the European Space Agency and Russia and the lander was supposed to be used as a test flight in preparation for the project of landing an all-terrain vehicle on Mars by the Europeans starting in 2020.

The European Space Agency hoped that Shifriali would have a better fate than the previous European lander - Beagle 2, with which contact was lost immediately upon landing in 2003 and only about a year ago it was observed from space and it was discovered that the spacecraft landed safely, but its solar collectors did not open properly and therefore could not accumulate energy.

  1. Hello. I'm doing research work and I'm looking for non-Wikipedia material.
    1. Can you direct me to the sources?
    2. What is the source of Exomars' power? (not River on solar panels and not Shiprali on batteries)

  2. Lorem opossum:

Your words about China's technological incompetence are just gibberish.

The government in China is not the old communist model, but a model of democratic socialism that is no worse than the West. Centralized government is not necessarily so bad. Rome ruled Europe for 400 years under centralized rule. What China lacks at the moment is only a few decades of time in which the educational-educational system will ripen until they are equal to the West.

In 4 years, China massively switches to solar electricity whose price is half of the price of fossil electricity, this is when the West is dozing off in terms of developing a new type of energy. The construction of Provo Tape to produce massive amount of solar electricity was completed and agreed in October 2015. You didn't hear about it because you get filtered information from the west, if you don't understand what cheap solar electricity means you have a problem. This means a great financial priority.

China will continue to use fossil energy in marble for solar in niches where fossil energy is preferable, for example metal smelters. Currently most of the steel in the United States is steel that is made in China (see: the presidential debates for the elections in the United States in which Hillary Clinton accused Trump of using cheap steel from China for the construction of buildings).

  3. China can only go so far because of its planned economy and centralized government. In the end, the burden of the existing mechanisms and the corruption they accumulate will overwhelm her.

  4. The whole western world is consciously going backwards... because of political correctness, "affirmative action", promoting minorities only because they are minorities and in general the goal is equality or "comparing the nations" with the help of reducing the power and distribution of the West's wealth to the 3rd world countries for the sake of chaos and wars and finally the control of a socialist government A global "utopian", compared to China, which is soaring because it has not been infected with the serious disease of the seven white man

  5. Apollo 11 and the moon landing is an American project, while the unfortunate spacecraft that was lost is actually European. And besides, I wish we should manage our "low-tech" like they manage themselves. They even managed to falsify diesel pollution data with Klassa.

  6. It seems to me that all the professionals of the generation of Apollo 11 and the moon landing have left the space agencies, and their place has been taken by arrogant and much less talented young people who belong to the selfie and Facebook generation, and this is the result.
