A Russian ballistic missile launched from central Russia shortly after XNUMXpm on Thursday prompted a flurry of reports of an unidentified flying object flying at high speed followed by a trail of light and smoke.

Eyewitnesses in many countries in West Asia and the Middle East reported a bright object seen in the sky and flying at high speed. The reports were received, among others, from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, from Syria, Lebanon and even from Israel.

The observers claim that it is a fireball that flies quickly. The reports came from all parts of the country and it turns out that not only ordinary citizens saw it, but also those who understand astronomy. Dr. Yigal Fat-El, Director of the Observatory in Givatayim and Chairman of the Israel Astronomical Society said that the missile was seen by several guides at the Observatory in Givatayim, "at the same time we also received reports from citizens who saw the object from Ashkelon to Rosh Hankara. I estimate that it was something that was very high above the horizon, which probably exploded in the air."

Russia admitted that they had indeed successfully launched a ballistic missile in a test they conducted tonight.

  1. Does anyone know what the trajectory of the missile was, is it possible that it fell in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea?

  2. Ronan:

I'm really not against you, and I think I understand how you feel when your opinion is not accepted even though you are sure of your rightness... but you should maybe stop sometimes and look around and at yourself, and ask why this is happening?
I read your comment and saw the video on YouTube, and I really don't think there is a connection between this video and the phenomenon reported in the article. You may have seen this article as an opportunity to share a video with us, but unfortunately this video also does not constitute any proof and certainly does not cut it...
Your absolute statements don't help either: "...of course Russia will jump up and say it's theirs.","...that as soon as the alien theory comes into force worldwide, everyone will go into a panic.","...behaving quite intelligently to look like something made by human hands..."
What did you mean to say recently... that things done by human hands do not behave in an intelligent way?
As you also said, the quality of the film on YouTube is not good...so to bring such a film as proof of a subject that is already controversial at best...and to externalize it like this, how do you expect not to create disappointment in the readers and even disdain?
    Note that…

Yehuda: You are great! You killed me laughing, keep shouting: the king is naked...

  3. Ronan, I saw your video, and I didn't see any special evidence in it that the lights you photographed were created by intelligent beings from outside the earth, it seems to me much more similar to lighting bombs that are occasionally hidden by clouds, which causes flickering.

Tell me something, let's say it's really aliens who came here with very sophisticated spaceships, what reason do they have to illuminate themselves so prominently like the Christmas tree? After all, if they wanted to show us that they exist, they could land on the lawns of the White House and introduce themselves, right?

  4. Yaniv, as far as I'm concerned, every cockroach I see is a foreign animal. I have no idea what it is.

  5. Ronen
In my opinion, there is no connection between the video you uploaded and the other things written about the phenomenon in the video.
I too saw exactly the same thing in the sky more than 10 years ago (if I remember correctly) and I know I'm not the only one who saw it at the same time. In my case, the phenomenon in the sky lasted about half an hour. I also remember that those lights were red.
I don't know what to tell you about it, but extraterrestrials (apart from 2 who visit this site from time to time) it is not.
I thought maybe it was some kind of drone.

  6. Ronen, I'm with you and believe what you saw, as you noticed this is a "scientific" website, so scientific that even if the educated people here saw an alien with their own eyes they would ask the same questions (Did you call the fire department? Are you sure it's not a weather forecasting balloon? etc.) )

  7. point
    Extraterrestrials will celebrate Extraterrestrial Day???
After all, they don't see themselves as outsiders but us!, we are their outsiders!
So they will celebrate the holiday of the "primitives"??
I wouldn't expect such a gross mistake from you.
They will celebrate Hitchhiker of the Galaxy Day!!
    Good time!
    Sabdarmish Yehuda

  8. Will the stock market crash? So is this the reason why we are not told about the aliens? So maybe they won't find out when Greece leaves the euro, even then the stock market will collapse, right?

  9. Yehuda I think you are talking nonsense

After all, anyone who understands a little clearly sees that these are beacons lit by extraterrestrials on their extraterrestrial day.

  10. Ronan and Gilad
You can't just say baseless things, you must also be connected to reality, and not just say baseless things. Don't forget that this is a scientific site!
And regarding the phenomenon you are discussing, the point is simple!
I think these are proud aliens coming back from the pride festival and shooting light bombs to light their way home, to the UFO.
    Fact!
    Good night
    Sabdarmish Yehuda

  11. I realised. There is no other possible explanation for these flashes. Obviously these are extraterrestrials staring at us.
Is there anything you know to tell us "about them", besides that "they" are responsible for these flickerings?
Because in the meantime "extraterrestrials" is a synonym for "I don't have the faintest idea what this is about".

  12. First of all, no one fired light bombs in the middle of the city.
Second, I served in the artillery and I know what lighting bombs look like at night and it's really not the same.
Third, I know people from my town who saw it on their own without any camera that day.
And one more thing, if you take a good look at the video (even though it's a YouTube video and the quality is relatively poor than the original) you will see that these glowing circles behave quite intelligently to look like something made by human hands.

All other factors: police, meteorologists, fire department, etc. It's just nonsense, they will always tell you the same thing (like NASA) "It's an act of nature..." "It's a military exercise..." "It's dirt on the camera" "This is this.. this is this and this is this." They will tell you everything except not to accept the theory of extraterrestrials, even if this time it was really extraterrestrials they will still tell you that it is natural phenomena and the rest of the nonsense... It's a waste of effort.

The part that was yesterday with the "rotating comet" or whatever they call it. Obviously Russia will jump in and say it's theirs. I also wouldn't be surprised if Iran also jumped up and said it was theirs (of course it wasn't in their line of sight so they didn't know about it) it's not the first time there have been similar phenomena and every country jumps up and says it's theirs. It's like the terrorist organizations. Someone commits an attack and immediately all the organizations jump in and say that they did it.
The world knows that as soon as the theory of extraterrestrials enters into global force, everyone will go into panic. The stocks will fall, the stock market will collapse. The world will enter real chaos. And that's just the beginning.

So do me a favor. It is true that this is a scientific site. But getting out of the bubble every now and then won't hurt, at least for some of us...

  13. Ronan, a few comments with your permission.

"It's one big lie and I can prove it" - how, using a blurry photo of something unclear, can you conclude something, let alone "prove" something about another, separate and different phenomenon that happened in another place and time?

"Something that cannot be explained in any way" - please be precise. "Something I can't explain in any way."

Have you checked the topic? A question for experts in the field of meteorology? Army? Was an exercise held in the area? Were light bombs fired, for example? Did you check with the police? Coast guard? Firefighters? (I have no idea which region of Israel it is, so it is possible that some of the options I have uploaded are not relevant).

And we'll end with the obvious question, what do you think we see in the video?

  14. Ronan, do me a favor, if you don't have an answer to Punkut's intelligent questions, then sit quietly. This is the science site, a scientific site!
An expensive point, I will answer you:
No, dear point, it's not a camera from another planet because it says: - Mead in China.
I am always here to answer you.
If you don't ask, how will you know?
    good evening
    Sabdarmish Yehuda

  15. point.

Do me a favor, if you don't have an appropriate response just don't respond….

  16. "Something that cannot be explained in any way"

Can you explain how a camera works exactly?

Maybe the camera itself is from another planet?

  17. It's one big shekel and I can prove it to you.

The day before this happened on Wednesday 6/6/12 I was just at work at night and the security camera recorded something that cannot be explained in any way.

Here I uploaded a video of her.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqBRPx5wXlE

I took this directly from the security camera. Those who want not to believe it, but it is a fact.

  18. Yehuda, be optimistic, maybe they are trying to find out how to send tourists to Eilat more quickly or Israeli tourists to the Crimea (a website I saw that opened recently)

  19. No one asks the question: why would the Russians suddenly decide to launch a ballistic missile into the region?, isn't this their way of implying to the West that it will get thoughts of attacking Syria or Iran out of its head?, when does anyone remember a ballistic missile being fired at the Middle East?, I don't remember!
I would prefer it to be a celestial phenomenon and not a ballistic missile
    good evening
    Sabdarmish Yehuda

  20. It was interesting to see groups of "tribal sages" in Tel Aviv, with each one giving his own interpretation of what he saw. A Russian missile was not mentioned there. Comets, flying saucers, and secret aircraft - were the leaders in public opinion...

  21. It is surprising that you are surprised…
Does it make a headline? Is it a "good seller"? Is there a demand for it? If so, welcome to our newspaper (printed or online). No different from the articles "Health", "Lifestyle" (what is this anyway? A synonym for consumerism of the most hollow kind???) and Sha'er Mara'in Bishin. Truth has no importance, money does.

  22. Unfortunately, most people in Israel do not know how to identify rockets and/or rockets, which is puzzling in itself in a country where military service is mandatory and which is hit by rockets and rockets anyway. We of course clarified immediately that this is a missile of some kind and it is a shame that the media encourages unnecessary and pointless riots.

  23. The UFO Research Association claimed that it was a missile. The local media chose to ignore this argument and began to publish information about the "UFO" that was observed...

It is surprising to me that Dr. Fatal could not identify a missile, since the trail was clearly visible and was identical to similar cases recorded in the past and the Israeli police (well - here I am not surprised at all), claimed that it was a natural phenomenon (perhaps missiles are a natural phenomenon in the eyes of the Israeli police, but Who does not…)…

The main thing is that we didn't land in the middle of Ayalon...

  24. I saw it with my own eyes!!!

I returned yesterday from the center to Haifa, it was about nine in the evening, I suddenly noticed a strange light in the sky.
It looks like… well, just like in the attached video. Something like a comet, only with a very wide and large tail. It caught something like 10 degrees in the sky.

For several minutes I stared at it, while driving cautiously.
Explanations that came to my mind were:
    1) A comet - this doesn't make sense, because I haven't heard of any such impressive comet coming, and it also developed over time - grew and expanded, and comets are visible in the sky for weeks.
    2) Meteor - it doesn't look like a meteor. They move much faster, they don't have such a wide trail and their heads are much clearer and stronger. At least the ones I've seen in my lifetime. It also doesn't look like a fireball, from videos I've seen before - they have spikes and splits coming off of them.
    3) An airplane that flies in the sky and lights its way with its lights, while moving in a cloudy sky. I wasn't sure if there were mists in the sky or not, because it was already dark (although as far as I remembered when I went out I saw that the sky was completely clear). I thought that maybe the fuselage itself was hidden behind clouds, and only its light beams were reflected from mists in the sky. This explanation also crumbled as the minutes passed. The scene was supposed to change faster - and the plane was supposed to be revealed behind the clouds.

While scanning the options, I envisioned the same amazing curls and misses that you see in the videos.
It solidified the direction of something burning up in the atmosphere. but what?!

By the way, my estimate of the distance was completely wrong, as usually happens in UFO stories. As I progressed on the ride, I had the impression that the effect was increasing, and also moving to the side. The impression was as if it was something several kilometers high above the center of the country, as if I was literally "overtaking" it little by little.
According to the reports, I assume it was something much higher. The illusion of getting closer was due to the increase of the illuminated area, and its displacement to the side was probably due to the change in the direction of the road. (However, I watched the event while driving on a highway)…

I was left with a feeling of something not being understood. I have already heard about all kinds of parts of satellites that fall back for one reason or another and cause the public to panic about UFOs.

    So here comes the answer.
