Armstrong's words "One small step for man - one giant leap for mankind", spoken on July 20, 1969 when he became the first person to ever land on another celestial body, became part of history.
This sentence, which was broadcast from the waters of peace, was the culmination of the efforts and hopes of millions of people and the expenditure of billions of dollars and a sign at the feet of the landing party that said "We came in peace on behalf of all humanity". These words emphasize that Armstrong and his colleague Buzz Aldrin were representatives of all humanity. Despite this, his achievement is considered the first major milestone in the US victory over the Soviet Union.

Armstrong was a hero not only of his time but of all time," President Barack Obama said on Twitter. "Thank you Neil for showing us the power of one small step."

The Armstrong family released the following message on Saturday: "Neil Armstrong was also an American hero but he was humble, and believed that he was just doing his job. He served his nation proudly as a Navy fighter pilot, test pilot and astronaut. He also found support for his success at home and in the state of Ohio in business and academia, and became one of the community leaders in Cincinnati."

"While we mourn the passing of a good man, we also celebrate his impressive life and hope that he will serve as an example to young people all over the world that it is possible to work hard and achieve their dreams, to want to explore and push the boundaries, and to serve goals greater than ourselves."

"As long as the history books are written, Neil Armstrong will be included in them, and will be remembered for taking humanity a small step into a world beyond ours," said NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. who added that besides Armstrong being one of America's greatest explorers, "Neil was a kind and compassionate man who could be an example to all of us."
Armstrong's colleague on the moon landing, Buzz Aldrin said of his commander's death: "I was very saddened to hear of Neil Armstrong's death today. Neil and I trained together as technical partners, but also as good friends who will always be linked through participation in the Apollo 11 mission. Every time I look at the moon it reminds me of the moments four decades ago when I realized that even though we were further from Earth than any other person, we were not alone.”
The pilot of the command spaceship, Michael Collins, who was left to wait for the two in orbit around the moon, said simply: "He was the best and I miss him very much."

"Neil Armstrong's death has shocked us at the Johnson Space Center," said Center Director Michael Coates.
"The whole world knew Neil as the first man to walk on the moon, but for us he was a co-worker, friend and important spokesman for the manned space program. He performed well under pressure and set an example for all other astronauts to come. We will miss the personal example."

"Neil Armstrong was a personal inspiration to all of us in the Astronaut Office," said Bob Behnken, director of NASA's Astronaut Office. "His historic step on the lunar soil was the foundation of many of our personal dreams that made us become astronauts. The only thing that clouds the achievement was his modesty regarding these achievements. We will miss a friend, mentor, researcher and ambassador of the American spirit of reason.”

  1. The law and the man who were enacted for the glory of humanity forever!!!
Humanity needs to understand that a breakthrough needs a lot of financial investment, work energy and risks.
But in the end a path is broken that has no lesson and everything is dwarfed.
