The Perseid shower hits us every year during the month of August. This year the rain will reach its peak on August 12, when the most suitable night to observe it will be the one between the 11th and 12th of the month (Monday to Tuesday). There is no need for special means to observe meteors, just your eyes and a comfortable mattress / sleeping bag are enough. On the peak night there will be an almost full moon in the sky (80%), which will interfere with the observation until its sunset at 01:30. Therefore, you should start watching meteors mainly after 01:15 at night. Perseids will also be seen in the following nights, and especially in the nights before the peak of the rain. Therefore, if you are in a dark place outside, after midnight on the nights before the peak night, you should "keep an eye" on the sky.
The Perseids will be visible from anywhere in the country, but only well from dark places and away from direct light sources (away from what we call light pollution). Within the cities we expect about 20-30 meteors per hour, while in the desert even 80.
