On the night between Saturday and Sunday, Danny Olves and Christer Vogelsang completed the third and final spacewalk of the STS-128 mission. Their mission included re-equipment, supply and maintenance of all station components.

The two installed a system for attaching loads on the right side of the station axis and replaced a broken gyroscope. They also installed two GPS antennas, replaced remote electrical control systems and installed insulating sleeves on cable inside the station's fairway.

In the meantime, the rest of the astronauts began preparations to disconnect the shuttle and the station, including storing equipment and experiments intended for return to Earth, on board the shuttle. Yesterday they enjoyed half a day of vacation, preparations for departure are planned for Monday, and on Tuesday, the shuttle will detach from the station and begin its two-day journey back to Earth.
