The head of NASA on his first visit to Israel - will open the Ilan Ramon International Space Conference

The fifth international space conference named after Ilan Ramon, will be held on January 27-28. The head of NASA, Charles Bolden, responded to the request of the Minister of Science and Technology Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz, and will visit Israel for the first time. The conference will be held at the Fisher Institute for Research and Strategy in Herzliya, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Israel Space Agency. The conference is in partnership and with the blessing of Mrs. Rona Ramon and with the blessing of the President of the State Shimon Peres.

The conference is held every year as the main event in memory of the victims of the space shuttle Columbia and is held near the memorial of Ilan Ramon.
