Today, there is a wide variety of techniques for producing electrical contacts for microelectronic devices (ie, devices with the size of a millionth of a meter) in a reliable way. Using the same techniques, on the other hand, causes a lot of destruction during the creation of electrical contacts for nanoelectronic devices (that is, devices the size of a billionth of a meter) that will enable, for example, supercomputers the size of a sugar cube.
