Insects - the biggest beneficiaries of global warming

An increase in temperature / global warming leads to an increase in the number of insect populations (and an increase in the number of individuals in each population). Apparently things are expected, in practice this is given scientific backing by Melanie Frazier from the University of Washington, who publishes her findings in The American Naturalist.

In testing 65 species of insects, a parallel was found between the spread of populations to areas where they did not exist, and the increase in the average temperature in the tested areas, meaning a direct parallel to global warming.

An increase in the numbers and populations of insects, its meaning for the human population is serious and dangerous! More "stings and bites" in the summer nights against which measures can be taken and against which to defend (partially), but the damage to agricultural crops will be much more significant.

As a response, the need to use more widespread use of insecticides will increase. Damage to agricultural crops means less fruit, vegetables, etc... less food.

More use of insecticides means adding poisons to the environmental system, less agricultural crops, more insecticides, which means that the produce is more expensive, at the same time the growth of populations and the spread of populations of insects carrying parasites that cause diseases / epidemics, malaria, leishmaniasis, West Nile fever, these are just a few of the diseases which are spread by insects, mainly mosquitoes.

Elsewhere I mentioned how high areas in Africa (which were cool) that were considered "free from malaria" lost their "cleanliness", we are all aware of the spread of different types of fever in the Western world, types of fever that until a few years ago were only known from tropical countries, although "even scientists have a hard time to anticipate the future", in the current case it will be possible to see the consequences of global warming on the insects already in the coming years, effects that for us - for the human population, will be painful.

  1. A sharp-eyed scientist has the duty to distinguish between science and the speculations of scientists.
In this article the science more or less ends with the report that insects will benefit from global warming.
A more certain speculation is that with the release of fossilized carbon by man the celebration of life on earth will only increase.
    This is known about plants.
It is worth remembering that 30 million years ago Antarctica was forested and the Earth was much warmer.
Blessed is the man thanks to whom these good days will return.
