The thought block: using mediums even as entertainment is no longer funny - a country haunted by demons XNUMX

In the promos that aired tonight on channel 10 in preparation for the program The Block at night, we are told about callers who come to the house and drive away the spirits

The block program logo. From Channel 10. It's a shame that they are not satisfied with home design
The block program logo. From Channel 10. It's a shame that they are not satisfied with home design
While looking at the excellent episode tonight of Amnon Levi's show Screensaver which dealt with the kidnapping of children by one of their parents to Mea Shearim and the story of a new immigrant who was brought from Iraq 60 years late after she was kidnapped, and here she was forgotten and her rights were denied, I also happened to look at the promos that separate the show itself from the commercials . Among other things, a promo was broadcast there for the block show that will be broadcast next night.

I would not be required for a program dealing with home design on a scientific website, because this is really a completely different content area, but when you get to pseudo science/New Age, etc., which our youth are exposed to more than the scientific truth, I have to say enough. According to the promo, where you briefly see a psychic in traditional clothing and people screaming like in a horror movie of the XNUMXth grade, psychics arrive at a house that is under construction in order to exorcise the spirits residing in it.

I am not against entertainment, but I am against surrendering to what someone calls "the will of the people". At a time when Channel 10 is fighting for its life, he realizes that he will not be punished by anyone if he promotes dark views and makes coupons at the expense of callers to the Mystique Time program. Pluralism should be between different positions in different fields where there is value weight, and not necessarily a matter of truth or falsehood, for example in the economic or social field. But if people do nonsense, think that talking to spirits and giving them an answer is the client's business from reality and the spirits and demons are just as real as the person in front of them, they belong in a madhouse and certainly not as hosts or guests on a TV show in the 21st century. Then they wonder that the people do not understand science and believe in superstitions, after all the media, which was supposed to help educate them, betrays them, and provides what it considers entertainment, and turns out to be stomach poisoning for the brain.

Another interesting detail regarding Channel 10. For those who haven't noticed, they are recycling Odette's program, which has not been broadcast live for a long time. . About a year ago I wrote a letter to the Council of the Second Authority, because in the program it hosted a certain person who spoke about an unknown philosophical theory, and then said that he and his friends come to make children happy in hospitals. Among other things, he claimed that his theory is based on Ron Hubbard's book, and of course because of the previous sensitivity in Odette's case, he did not mention the word Scientology. The response states that these are rebroadcasts, and that the production was dismantled. The management of Channel 10 was asked by them not to broadcast the tape in question again.

We have already explained why it does not make sense for demons and spirits to exist in countless previous articles (see list of links). The human brain is a complex thing, and our memories are an integral part of its fabric, hidden as chemical signals and moving from place to place with electrical signals. When a person's mind is damaged, his memories may also be erased and his personality may disappear, if the soul had some place outside the body, it would have somewhere to draw the memories and thoughts. But the brain doesn't have an external disk, at least for now. Maybe one day the sci-fi idea of transferring the contents of the brain to a computer will come true in order to preserve the personality forever, but until then, the soul (the collection of all thoughts and personality) is imprisoned there and dies together with the body.

Those who want to claim that there is a soul do so for one of the following reasons - a religious reason. In Judaism, a blessing is given every morning for the return of the soul upon awakening after it left the body at night. Other religions also believe in an independent existence for the soul, after it leaves the body and bring anecdotes of seeing a tunnel, common among those who have undergone clinical death (another mistake - there is either life or death, this definition is a medical definition, if they called it by another name, would it also So there were claims of returning from the dead?), but the main belief is a popular belief, of all kinds of readers who wanted to make a living and spread their wares (see Madinah Purchad Damim 21, on Sherri Arison, where its level is mentioned), while relying on the ignorance of the masses, But this ignorance continues and intensifies as we come to the end of the first decade of the XNUMXst century and it is worrying.

They don't have to go far, they have a talent in the system that presents a quality and popular program (along with his colleague Motti Kirschenbaum) which proves that quality and ratings are not contradictory factors. It is recommended to contact him, and he does not live in London, despite his name. The circus he made for Oren Zarif will be remembered for a long time to come. If they had consulted him, they might not have filmed such an episode. And in such a period of threats of closure - when you were perceived as a quality channel - I would put the episode on hold if I were you. It is impossible to refer to the corruption of education, which is not one of the improved ones to say the least, jokingly.

post Scriptum. In my generation, many scientists grew up because we had the newspaper Science and Knowledge, and the stores were full of science-popular and science fiction books. What will grow from the current generation? Psychics?

The above episode entertained me and I burst into a rolling laugh that I didn't remember having already
I enjoyed it and it's a pity for all your philosophizing about everything

    correct!
The truth is that the derivative resets both at the points of a local maximum and there is an equilibrium, but unlike the minimum where the equilibrium is stable - at the maximum the equilibrium is unstable (this can usually be seen in the second derivative)

  3. The thing with the relationship between minimum potential energy to weigh zero forces is that the force is a derivative of the locus of the potential. When the potential is at a minimum then its derivative is zeroed out, meaning that the sum of the forces is zeroed out.

  4. Something in the song is not accurate because we come back and see here that it is always darkest **after** the dawn.

  5. Mmmm.. Dawn what exactly was that? A song of praise to my "proud" father for false pride and drifting without limits?
Please, kindly explain to us a moment before taking the punch recipe: "an apple dipped in cyanide" according to our scholars from the "he" section.. :) 😳 😕

  6. You don't have to be religious to believe in the human soul.
You don't have to be religious to impose your opinion on the other.
Blindness is common to all genders.

Even Avi Blizovsky (like all of us) is guided by a physical, emotional, mental and also... astral system!

Is the father of the dream the same father of the waking? The father of the dream sails between realities, flies and is endowed with endless abilities.
The father of the "Ar" had to scare himself every day that the reality is as it was described by sages from him on thick books and magazines printed in chrome.

  7. Agnus:
Regarding the second part of your comment - it is absolutely true - the situation is not good in other countries either.
What I argued in my letter to the Minister of Education is that teenagers finish their studies without knowing what it means to "know".
This is true everywhere and it is the background for New Age beliefs and phenomena such as "repentance".
In Israel, however, there is a special problem because here not only is the situation bad, but it also continues to deteriorate.

  8. Agnus:
Indeed the answer is not sufficient and in fact is not correct either.
The body does not rest where the potential energy is zero but rather where it is at a local minimum.

  9. Michael,
Energy is the ability to do work. Work is the action of a force over a distance. When the gravitational potential energy of a body is equal to zero it means that the force of gravity can no longer act on it, and this is necessarily because there is a force that cancels it.

I have a feeling that the answer won't satisfy you, and the truth is that I haven't given it any thought either, but it's always good to try to formulate some kind of explanation, that way there's a better chance of understanding the other's explanation, when it comes.

By the way, it seems that the spoiled education of the education system is not exclusive to our education system. Richard Feynman, in the book "You must be joking, Mr. Feynman" tells about a year of study he spent in Brazil. The students there could tell him everything about the passage of electromagnetic waves in media with different refractive indices, but when he asked them what happens when a laser beam passes through glass (or something like that), they didn't know what he was talking about.

  10. By the way, Agnus did well to ask the question because it is clear to all of us that "someone" will not answer so each of you is invited to try your hand.
In particular, his "lost" majesty is invited to try to answer.

  11. Agnus:
    No more details.
Says the same details in a different way and using an example.
Questions in physics often ask when a body will be at rest and will not start moving anywhere.
These questions can be thought of in two ways:
One way is force calculations that will show that in total no force acts on the body (and therefore it will not move).
The second way is by calculating the potential energy and pointing to the fact that the body is at its local minimum and therefore will not move.
Let's look for example at a ball hanging on a vertical wire.
"The path of the force" means that the ball will be at rest because the force pulling it upwards (the tension of the string) is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the force of gravity, therefore the sum of the forces acting on the body is zero and therefore it will remain at rest.
"The way of potential energy" means that when the ball hangs on the vertical wire it is at the lowest possible point for it (among all the points it can find within the constraints imposed by the fact of being tied to the wire) and since gravitational potential energy increases the higher one is, then at the lowest point the minimum of The gravitational potential energy and therefore the body will not move.

Another way of looking at the exact same issue is in the way of solving the question "Where will the ball tied to the string attached to the ceiling remain motionless if it is placed there?"
In both ways of thinking we will come to the conclusion that this is the lowest point.

The issue is, as I mentioned, why and why do these two methods of calculation give the same answers?

The education system is so "educating" that people don't even notice that there is a question here and probably don't get to the answer either.
I, for example, have never heard of anyone raising the question nor have I read it anywhere.
For me - both raising the question and its solution are "self-made".

  12. Michael Rothschild,

Can you give a little more detail about your question regarding the two physics for someone who graduated from physics more than ten years ago? I was not part of your argument and I would like to understand what you meant.

  13. someone:
In a conversation with you there is no chance of achieving great science.
Want to engage in some kind of science (not great, but modest)?
Come and explain to us the issue of the two physics that I mentioned in response 24 as part of my words to Elad. Let's see if you can even handle scientific problems!

  14. We will try to summarize:
    1. Michael is sure that he is safe.
    2. Red blood flows in white blood.
    3. It is too easy to take you out of your peace.
    4. Great science is definitely not here...

  15. Lost:
As your nickname is, you are.
You have no idea what I'm talking about and you respond each time more and more far from the point.
    boring

  16. Michael: Ha ha ha, regarding your air conditioner and your temperament does not depend on external situations, as your delusion, see my previous response 29- line three, in brackets.
Enough of the "nonsense" attributed not only to me. If you want to continue living in the illusion that you are immune to given external situations and you do not act on them and this illusion gives you the power of survival, and even pretended superiority, you will enjoy it.
But there is no need to accuse others of lack of understanding and more than that, the recognition of conditional and mutual situations! Even our own! Including your comments and ours.
You'll be surprised, we also have an overhead air conditioner, and since the cold descends below, the residents of the headquarters also enjoy it: but also the operation of a small or large technological matter is a result of external situations or given stressful situations. ha ha.
You really don't need to watch Channel 10 to understand that there is a big block between the different approaches in life.
I have not seen the program or the attributed advertisement, although this article may challenge others to watch it.. I want to say that you too may agree that no external factor should influence your actions and you have a personal-free choice to find out how and how you will behave accordingly: but also "deliberate prevention" is a type of action conditioned on an external action.
    Baside that ,
In one of the responses you referred to the residents of the fence, it turns out that at a certain point even the indefinite residents of the fence are forced to go up or down to one of the sections of belonging, even against their will if not of their own accord.
In conclusion, we are all on the same ship called: "this world", so there are those who are in the suites and there are those who sweat in the steam rooms... sometimes it happens that the roles of strength and presence also change.
This ship, in any case, is before its sunset: it is old, worn out, used up, exhausted and dying and only the children of today and tomorrow have the resources and the hidden dream (within them) of how they will act in the future moments of truth to come.
For adults on both sides of the barricade (and other parts..) it remains only to continue with the illusion that drives their survival (correct or unnecessary effort until tiredness and/or hope) and at a certain point, simply vacate the place.

  17. Birbir:
The only good thing about your comment is the nickname you chose for yourself.
Beyond all the quibbling - why did you choose to attribute to me opinions that I have never expressed regarding dreams?
Did I say that people don't solve problems in a dream?
    On the contrary!
I have often said that we solve problems in dreams and even in unconscious thinking.
Of course, this does not belong to the question of whether we obtain knowledge through science or not, but it seems to me that it is a waste of time to explain everything to you, so you are welcome to continue talking.

  18. Someone (19)

You are so right! I have no idea what comes to mind for the other commenters, so I will only speak for myself:

Alas: there are still one and a half billion people who believe that Muhammad was the last of the prophets and that God commanded to kill all those who do not believe in Islam, and put this into practice.
Still half of the US population denies evolution and believes in creationism. Still our country continues to pour money into an entire population that does not recognize the existence of the country, and comes out as a buffer against us at every possible opportunity. And this while receiving all the fruits of technology and science on a silver platter, while wishing those who created Burn him forever in hell.

Alas: there are still people who think that science does not explain everything and go to all kinds of mystics and astrologers who will disorient them, ruin their lives and then infect everyone who comes in contact with them with an infinite lag that will drag Israel towards a third world state, and all the efforts that the Zionists invested in establishing an enlightened state , it will be worth as much as a garlic peel, and in a few more generations there will be nothing left here, except for a few ultra-Orthodox who will pray that the Zionist-secular Messiah will return and return the crown to its former glory (in Gaza)

Alas: there are still people who think differently and believe that their Torah protects us and do not serve in the army, do not pay taxes, live at our expense, and oppose democracy, pluralism and everything we represent.
There are still people who think differently and believe that it is commanded to kill infidels like us, or anyone who does not believe in what they believe.
There are still people who think differently and make terrorism and murder, coercion and dictatorship, ignorance and ignorance a miracle.

Yes, there really are a lot of people who think otherwise. But know that it is not thanks to them that you can type those lines you wrote in your response and upload them to the web.
It is not because of them that you have a whole system of unbelieving and evil doctors who will save you in case of illness or injury.
It is not thanks to them that you can be updated on everything that is happening in your country and the world in which you live.
It is not thanks to them that you can keep food in the refrigerator, enjoy air conditioning on such hot days, read articles on the Internet, communicate with your friends from a distance of hundreds of kilometers by pressing a button, make yourself coffee in the morning or even drink purified water that will not kill you from excess coliforms or anything else.

This is what boils me: the two faces! :
On the one hand they despise us and hate our culture, and on the other hand they don't want to use and enjoy everything we produce and what we have to offer.
At least let them be honest, like the Amish in the USA, who don't contribute but don't take either.

And if we're talking about "shorts":

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmkPTBUjBXM&NR=1

  19. Lost:
    Your lack of understanding continues.
Response 28 was not an admission of anything. She was repeating things I said and she doesn't belong chatting with you at all.
I do not deny any fact (and certainly not again).
Your response 29 was nonsense that does not belong to anything - certainly not to what I said about your response 15.
I said "speak for yourself" because it hasn't happened yet that "I didn't know who he was and who we were" because of the weather.
Some people are affected by the weather more than others and you are probably among those who are more affected (what's more, I'm sitting in an air-conditioned room).

  20. I didn't rant! And if so, I stated facts!
But your confession on the 28th was at the same time as my response to you, before it was revealed to me.

  21. I wonder what tools measure love?
What measuring instruments are used to measure passion?
What is the unit of measurement for mercy?
How much "drive" does a person have to perform a certain act?
Why is the passing time in a boring lesson different from an exciting experience?
How can you harness dreams while sleeping that later come true?

These are questions only on the tip of the fork.
There are many more like this.

Who said for example that the investigation of reality
Does it have to come from science?
And what about dreaming and imagination?

What about the many inventions that came to people in a dream?
Is anyone aware, for example, that the sewing machine was "invented" in a dream?
Does anyone know that quite a few writers report that the books are written for them while they sleep?
(When they allocate from sleep, they simply reproduce what they already saw in the dream).

I know - these are all non-existent vanities,
And only Michael is the wisest of men and all his words are true...

  22. Michael: Your response to my response 15 Are you again demanding to deny the proven facts that extreme changes in the weather do not manage the life around you and the entire conduct of individual life in exactly the same way as the chemical-physical changes in all existing bodies accordingly? are included in "conduct" according to any given possible situation).
You don't have moods and chemical changes according to differences in light levels: day/night? External heat wave / external cold wave. Environmental dust pollution, environmental impact wave. Are you not subject to external changes? Do you not go through physical-chemical-mental-mental processes? Us for your alarming anomalies!: like drying the grass of your yard according to the national water shortage, for example. Ha, ha.
Why do you continue to lie to yourself? Because you cannot lie to us: the relative individual, national and global facts speak for themselves.

  23. To anyone who did not understand:
    I am not satisfied.
The frustration (which does exist) does not stem from satisfaction with the current situation.
I really hope that in the end there will be an awakening here and even someone will wake up.

  24. To dear Michael in Adam:
    Your arrogance shows your frustration.

Well, I know that even after this explanation you won't understand,
But at least you proved that you have no scientific spirit.

    Just another science seeker…

  25. Joseph:
What is condescending here is your response and unlike the article - the condescension in your response has no cover.

When Shahar again wants to write us things without dawn, he defines the diseases of the spirit as "spirit".

    white blood:
Science is not power and what can be done with it is only to reveal the truth.
Knowledge (including that gained through science) is indeed power and such knowledge can indeed be used for good or bad.

    one stone:
The world is divided into two parts:
Those who think the world is divided into two parts and those who don't 🙂
Personally, I have already managed to bring people back to the lap of rationality, so there is no reason to give up - what's more, there are people who sit on the fence and for whom it is clearly worth making an effort.

    Lost (15):
The fact that something can be divided into two parts does not contradict the fact that it can be divided into more parts.
The natural numbers are divided into two parts: the even and the odd.
The natural numbers are divided into three parts: those that are divisible by three leave a remainder of 0, those that leave a remainder of 1 and those that leave a remainder of 2.
Therefore, your first argument against Ibn Ehad's words is not justified.
Regarding the effect of heat - speak for yourself.

    Asaf:
I agree with your words but I would like to add that in my opinion the greatest creations of the human spirit are actually mathematics and science.
It always annoys me that precisely the less successful spiritual achievements were chosen to be called "spiritual sciences".

    someone:
You don't even understand what's going on here.
It is not about rage and frustration whose sources are unknown and which they unleash on a victim who is convenient to take care of.
It is about the rage and frustration that those you define as victims cause them by destroying every good part of our world.
Well - I know that even after this explanation you won't understand, but at least I vented my anger and frustration.

    Lost (20):
If your words were true, science would not have grown at all and in general we would still be living on the trees.
Change happens and many times a change for the better also happens.

    Elad:
Regarding section 1 - I wouldn't blame the rationalists in this regard.
The fact is that there are some delusional people who write their nonsense on this site that exposes them day in and day out to rational thinking.
Regarding section 2 - the word you were looking for is "philosophy of science".
I wrote to Yuli Tamir a long time ago that this is what I would expect the education system to instill in its graduates, and that is precisely what it does not instill.
After all, physics studies are also largely based on faith and do not encourage questions (obviously they are infinitely better than Bible studies - and the Bible is usually not studied as a way to understand the sources but as a worldview - which is a really destructive thing).
Note, for example, that in school you actually studied two "physics":
The one in which a system reaches equilibrium when the balance of forces is zero and the one in which a system reaches equilibrium when the potential energy is minimal.
In my opinion, there are almost no children who ask themselves why these two physics give the same results and worse - even the teachers don't understand that there is a question here (and it even has an answer).

  26. that channel 10 will close inshallah,
That we pay less fee and that female broadcasters will live at our expense

  27. Two important points in my opinion:
    1. It should be remembered that the New Age emerged as a social phenomenon because of "disappointment" with various Western phenomena, such as the institutionalized religions, the great ideologies that collapsed (communism, nationalism, etc.) and also with science. This "disappointment" is the result of a lack of proper presentation of science to the public, and what can and cannot be expected from it.
The blame is also placed on the rational side, which fails to "market" its goods without being perceived as condescending.
Likewise, "science" has to admit that there are certain gaps that it cannot fill. Humanity, unfortunately, will always look for meanings, processes of redemption and purpose that science cannot really provide. At least not at this stage of the "maturity" of the human race.

    2. Humane education should be distinguished from a tendency to believe nonsense.
Humane education is as important as scientific education, and it has nothing to do with the wave of mysticism and Babylonianism that is sweeping the world.
In order to understand the world, you need to know what the major religions say, what are the important literary styles, understand thought processes and philosophy, etc., etc.

even the opposite. The more deeply children are exposed to religions, the less religious they will be. It is much harder to believe that the truth is in your pocket and you are the only nation that received messages from heaven when you learn about forty other nations that make the same claims.

You must not make the mistake of associating Bible study (for example) with mysticism. It is very important that children (secular, yes yes) study the Bible and the Mishnah in order to know something about their cultural history. Just like in England you learn about Shakespeare or the Christian thinkers of the Middle Ages.
In terms of science, obviously, it is important that they learn math and physics, but more than that it is important to teach children what the scientific process is. What is a scientific conclusion and why can't you find scientific evidence for anything in your book.
Why the evidence for evolution is stronger than the "evidence" for creationism.
The New Age is fueled by the confusion between the humane and the real, not the fields themselves.

  28. Dr. Assaf: Education? Why? I doubt if we understand and agree on the contents and features of that so-called nomenclature.
I'm sorry, we have already seen in history where different "education" trends lead.
Children and youth are influenced by everything, but in the end they imitate their parenting ways, say their parents or their grandmothers: so are we, the product of everything we rebelled against in adolescence, and in old age who are we? We all turn out to be a false illusion, all of humanity.
In the hope that the younger generation does not agree with the summer depression and my conclusions about the end of the disappointing times..ha.ha.

  29. Every time an article of the type in question is published here,
It seems that despite everything she manages to attract her
Angry responses from nice science seekers who are looking
A constant punching bag to vent their anger and frustration on.

Alas - there are still billions of people on earth who believe in religions.
Alas - there are still people who think that science does not explain everything.
Alas, there are still people who think differently than you.

You are starting to sound like a skit...
    Whoever hears…

  30. Respondent 16 .. not me
And since I'm already writing, in all tests, studies and surveys a uniform proposal is received:
The stupidity among the inhabitants of the world is increasing and increasing, what are we doing? Long live you!

  31. For number 8:
Calling yourself "Yossi" online means joining the club. Although a club with low standards, but unfortunately you were not able to meet them. I'm turning to you as a long-time (and ancient) member of the club: please change the nick!

  32. Dawn,

"Spirit" is literature, art, poetry, cinema, studies for enrichment and the like. It's a spirit.
To be "spiritual" means to look within yourself, to examine your actions in relation to higher standards, to engage in self-improvement.

To try to find messages that are sent to you, to look for curses that prevent you from fulfillment... this is not spirituality, it is an attempt to find other reasons for a reality that you do not like

  33. Ha.. Ha one stone, are you one of the stones of the wall by any chance? :) In any case humanity is divided into many more parts and it is not certain if we know who is who and who we are at a certain time and in different and changing situations.
Especially on the days when the big heat wave affects.

  34. Humanity is divided into: 2, those who are guided by rationality in their lives and those who are not. Rational explanations, why demons and spirits are nonsense, do not work on irrational people, therefore to this day there are people who believe in religions, a higher power, communicators and other charlatans. It's not for nothing that every newspaper has an astrology section and admissions courses are booming. Trying to go against these phenomena is like changing in the face of the wind and it's a shame the wasted energy on that.

  35. Well, apparently they planned the mediums' ideas in advance and therefore called the program: "The Block".

    lion:
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that precisely because technology is gaining such momentum, the public is becoming backward, because life is becoming easier and more convenient, and all that's left after returning from work is to sit in front of the television lag and catch the stupidity disease.

Most of the serious academics I've known don't watch TV at all, or don't even have it at home. As long as they don't waste their time chit-chatting on Messenger or reading tabloids and other shameful stuff.

Science is power. And power can be used to build, but also to destroy.

  36. Father, do like me, don't turn on the TV and see that suddenly everything works out...
And yes, I agree with Yossi that this article is more suitable for proms in Orange than here.

    And one more thing.
If we are already in a somewhat scientific format, then pay attention, how the whole essence of channel 10 is to make you small, poor, scared and above all believe every word that is said in it without giving an account to reality.

  37. Father, why are you going on a journey against the wind? Haven't you learned yet that it is the spirit that even moves you from the mechanical roboticity that you are trying to convince is human nature? Do you think it's gray cells and chemical reactions that "light up" your eyes to write articles late at night? Where is the biological evolution here? What Darwinian advantage does a person have who wastes his sleep in favor of verbal expression?
Look at a spark in a child's eye and you'll tell him he's an electric corpse, look into your mother's eyes and tell her she's a series of chemical signals.

Out-of-body messages are sent to you every day and it's a shame that you try to deny it and are not attentive.

  38. Arya, what a shame that you don't see that your vision has been fully realized: most of us have fallen as uncles in a global mass grave: Internet.
This is not a humane rule at all. Unfortunately, at this point we all lost.
If we knew that for such a trend we brought children, we might have avoided bringing them as well.
In the hope that our children are not part of this barren and foolish discourse... and will overcome both your "realistic" illusion and our "humane" illusion.

  39. As for your claims:
    1. That the article is not relevant? I wish, if the rate of those who believe in this nonsense was negligible, but it is higher than the rate of those who trust science.
    2. This is a scientific and technological site, and as the editor of Science said (See towards the end of the article on YNET) He also needs to devote about a third of his time to protecting science from its opponents who are numerous and vocal and who have caused and further threaten to cause the destruction of the USA's competitive advantage - science. These things, in my opinion, are even more true for Israel.
    3. There is sometimes no choice but to sound elitist. What is the alternative? Fake populism?

  40. An arrogant article, which by its very existence is as ridiculous as an exorcism.
Is this an entertainment program review site or a scientific-technological site?
The article is irrelevant, arrogant, elitist, snobbish and belittles intelligence.
It is inappropriate for such articles to be published here.

  41. Towards the end of the last century I had the hope (probably naive) that following the accelerated development of technology (computers, internet, medicine, etc.) people's eyes would be opened and the 21st century would be the century of science and knowledge. To my amazement and disappointment, the exact opposite happens!
In the USA, about 50% of the population believes in creationism and not in evolution. Fundamentalist religious groups (of all religions) are gaining strength. The length of the display tables during the book week loaded with cartology literature is getting longer every year compared to the few science books that can hardly be found.
One of the main reasons for this negative trend is the education of the youth. In the schools, emphasis is placed on humane studies instead of science studies. Television is full of shallow reality shows and entertainment while programs or channels dealing with science are extremely rare. The youth spend days and nights in front of the computer on Chitot and not on science websites.
This is how a shallow generation has grown up in front of our eyes that seeks the truth the easy way with callers, coffee readers and strange mediums.
It is enough to see the progress of the achievements of the Israeli youth in the Mathematical Olympiads: years ago we were in the top ten, a year ago we took the 26th place and this year the young people of Israel and the best of the youth "won" the honorable 46th place when we faced enlightened countries such as Azerbaijan, Iran and many others of the kind It!
The decision makers in Israel do not read the writing on the wall. Young scientists are leaving the country, the universities are in financial difficulties. The study contents do not emphasize the sciences and the contents of the television do not need to be exaggerated!
Let's hope that one day a leader of stature and vision will arise who will put order on this painful issue.

  42. The mental block amazes me too...
what is that supposed to mean ? Sounds like a parody of "The Exorcist"

  43. Father - that is very true

The block is not a bad plan, at least in terms of spiritual babble, but with this talk of demons and spirits, they really crossed the border of the underground. And this is in order to bring what exactly? Who wants such garbage?
I'm not sure they think this is the will of the people. They are just into a stupid gimmick….

I don't think that the production of "The Block" with all its poor level really thinks that the people of Israel need this mediocre garbage

    Haunted block
    Really miserable

  44. This is the meaning of keyword search advertising. This is currently what it is, most of the big publishers prefer to further enrich the newspapers and websites owned by the capital families.

  45. It's really ironic to read this article and see on the sides of the page advertisements for sorcerers and magicians of all kinds.
