This is how an international research group led by a researcher from the Technion published in the journal PNAS
An international research group, led by Professor Yoram Pelati from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, discovered that the application of high-frequency, low-intensity alternating electric fields inhibits the division of cancer cells, and thus slows down the development of cancerous tumors. Upon his retirement, Professor Pelti devotes most of his time to the development of the "Novocure" company, which commercializes the discovery and arouses great interest in the medical equipment market.
The experiment was published in PNAS, the prestigious journal of the US National Academy of Sciences (Proceedings of the National Academy of Science US) and subsequently received extensive coverage in other journals - Science News Lancet, Nature (clinical Practice), Microwave News.
An extensive discussion of it is published in the August issue of the scientific journal Physics Today. The experiment showed that electric fields of 200 kHz, which cause the oscillation of charged particles inside the cancer cell, (a) slow down cell division; and (b) lyse the cells at later stages of division. This experiment disproves the previously accepted assumption that high-frequency electric fields heat cells and tissues, but do not affect them in other significant ways.
Following the findings from the laboratory experiment, the researchers performed a limited clinical trial, designed to test the effectiveness of the new method in patients. As part of the clinical trial, the method was applied to ten GBM patients - a type of brain cancer with the highest mortality rate (by connecting electrodes to the scalp). All the participants were patients suffering from a recurrence of the disease - that is, a reappearance of the disease despite all the treatments the patient received.
Since there was no control group in the experiment, the results were compared to the existing information on the subject. The clinical trial confirmed the laboratory findings: the patients survived an average of 62 weeks - a much longer time than the existing statistics. In addition, three of the ten patients live two years or more after the start of the new treatment.
A clinical trial is now being conducted in about 20 medical centers around the world, which includes a control group - patients receiving chemotherapy treatments. The researchers are also considering examining the effect of a treatment that combines the new method with low-dose chemotherapy.
The new treatment, which damages the cell's division process, does not damage healthy brain cells, since these do not divide. It also does not harm the cells that produce the red and white blood cells that are protected by the bones that surround them.

Very interesting.. except that findings more important than this were discovered already more than 30 years ago!!
I return to Dr. Leon Liebrecht's sensational book "The Weave" ..in chapter 5 called "And there was light" the amazing research of Prof. Fritz Albert Pope from the University of Marburg - Germany is presented..who discovered that all carcinogenic substances absorb ultraviolet light (UV) and even Changing its wavelength!! He later discovered that the carcinogenic substances react to the ultraviolet light of only one wavelength! 380 nm !! which is also exactly the wavelength that heals the damaged cell !!!..and this when it is projected onto it with a very weakened intensity!!
And this research was rudely stopped and Prof. Pope was thrown out of the university and all his equipment was confiscated!! And all this more than 30 years ago!! Think about what advanced equipment they could reach today and what healing abilities are many times higher than what is available today...and in this place we will continue to hear about another study by the judges of the pharmaceutical corporations who arrived after "a lot of work" to some wretched magnetic fields that dismantle human understanding!! These things are upsetting and rightly so, but the people find it hard to believe in their correctness just as it was hard to digest the occurrence of the holocaust..because it sounds illogical (not the holocaust). Including plants, etc. and more!
So in this light you should read this news that in any other situation you would have been considered a trailblazer but in reality this road was paved a long time ago and bombed by corporations and governments whose public health was not at the top of their concern but only the profits of the pharmaceutical manufacturers that this study and similar ones were going to kill the hen that lays millions in cash !!
How good it is to be updated and to know that people are always working on developing cures for cancer..I wonder if they will succeed by 2015 (the year that, as far as I remember, the President of the United States stated that by then there would be an effective cure for cancer).
