The International Space University (ISU) is a unique academic institution located in Strasbourg, France, offering a one-year Master's degree program (M.Sc), and a 9-week summer program that takes place every year in a different location in the world.

The academic program is multidisciplinary and combines a variety of subjects such as: space law and policy, space engineering, cosmology, space medicine, life sciences, space project management and more.

Studying at the university is an opportunity for Israeli students to make personal connections with the future generation of the international space industry and absorb a cosmopolitan atmosphere. In the last three years, eight Israeli students graduated from ISU and most of them were integrated into leading positions in the field of space in Israel.

The ISU Israel - Ilan Ramon Scholarship Fund was founded in memory of the late Ilan Ramon, after the Columbia disaster, by Michael Potter from California, who served on the ISU Board of Trustees, with the aim of supporting students from Israel to attend ISU's academic programs to expand and strengthen Israel's activities on the subject the space, to expose it to the world and expose it to innovations and developments. The official representative of the ISU in Israel is INSA - the association for small satellites in Israel.

In accordance with Government Resolution No. 3534 of June 01.06.2008, 1, in which the government ministries were assigned to participate in the financing of the scholarship fund in the name of the Ilan Ramon family, which is managed and operates in the Ministry of Science, Culture and Sports. The government ministries transfer to the fund 10 million NIS in equal parts, for each budget year for XNUMX years. The scholarship fund allocates scholarships to encourage students to cultivate quality groups while educating for excellence, values and contribution to the community. Starting this year, the Ministry of Science will provide support to students going to study at the Space University, thereby expanding the activity and providing state sponsorship for this activity.

Flying the flag into space symbolizes above all the need to educate the future generation of the State of Israel in science and technology with an emphasis on the field of space.
