Tehran issued an announcement today about the launch of a flying saucer. In an official ceremony held by the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Iran launched the unmanned unmanned object named "Zohal".

Zohal was jointly designed and developed by the Iranian Aerospace Industries (IASIA). The flying saucer can be used for several tasks, especially for aerial imaging.

The flying machine is equipped with an automatic pilot system, GPS - a global navigation system - and two separate HD imaging systems with a 10 megapixel image quality. And she is able to take and send pictures at the same time.

The Zohal uses a small and portable navigation center to transfer data and image data and it can fly both in open space and in internal spaces - inside buildings.

Another project that Iran unveiled at the same showcase ceremony was a light sports plane. The announcement stated that the plane was designed by the Dorna Aerospace company and is a fully composite sports plane and passes the Standard Test Method (ASTM) test. It is a plane that should be used for private flights, for patrolling and surveillance.

  1. A few months ago, Opal was captured by the Air Force in the Dimona area, maybe that's it

  2. What excitement! Picture of a flying saucer in science!!
For a moment it seemed that the censorship had been lifted...

  3. 1. I would not rush to laugh at the Iranian capability, which is supported by Russian and North Korean technology. Iran is a very serious threat and the last time we laughed at someone, we paid a heavy price for it (see the Second Lebanon War and the Yom Kippur War before it).

To be honest, when I examine Israel's capabilities and the hypocrisy in which the IDF operates and the miserable capabilities that the security systems demonstrate, I am often filled with more ridiculousness than when I examine the Iranian capabilities and their intentions.

Just yesterday we received a reminder in the south, regarding the Iranian capabilities VIA Hamas...

    2. Saucer-like pilot vehicles have already been built in the past and the last of them was a police drone built in Britain about two years ago. Therefore, Iran is not the first in the field.

And most importantly, have a happy Purim!!!

  4. My father is right and the Persians as usual provided us with a feast or an entertaining demonstration in honor of Purim.

  5. The correct translation of the word Imaging is "imagery" or "simulation".
"Simulation" is the translation of the word Simulation

  6. A. I didn't bring the photo for copyright reasons, so I chose to link to the Iranian website (they probably wouldn't do the opposite, I guess Israeli websites are blocked to them).
    B. Tal Inbar in the thread you linked to also thinks that it is an exaggeration when they try to present an off-the-shelf product as Iranian technology.
third. Besides laughing at them a little, what else can be done?

  7. On the FARS website it looks like a photomontage from the 50s MDB movies era. Even in Photoshop you can make these more successful.

  8. Abby, you rushed to declare the article as a humorous piece and it is not the case (I assume you did it because of the photography in the original article, which is not related to the article at all).
Here is a link to "Eshkol" about the article (in the "Army and Defense" forum of "Farsh"). In the first response (by Tal Inbar) you can also see the photograph of the tool (and at the same time see that the tool itself is not an Iranian development. http://www.xaircraft.co.uk/acatalog/X650_Kits_.html They just added more things to it):

  9. If you know what it is, then you can't call it an unidentified object.

And I don't think the Persian press is a reliable source of technology news.

  10. Indeed extremely amusing - of course the translation to "light" is a mistake and it is a "light" plane, as well as for patrol and surveillance..

By the way, I'm curious about the dimensions of this plate.. let's get some proporche.. so if you have any idea.. I'd love to know..

*We need to build a fleet of a trillion flying nano-saucers and maintain our power balance against them..
Or maybe there actually already exists a fleet in this style.. - we don't know :]

  11. Use the flying saucer for aerial imaging? A light sports plane? tour and retard??
Anyone understand what is meant behind these phrases?
