The Northern Hemisphere will be able to watch a cosmic explosion

The second largest gamma ray burst in history happened a few days ago, but it will not be visible in the northern hemisphere until next week

A new type of cosmic explosion has been discovered near Earth's celestial surroundings, and amateur astronomers in the Northern Hemisphere will be able to observe it next week.

The explosion is the result of a gamma ray burst, the most powerful type of explosion known to astronomers. The BBC reported that when NASA scientists discovered it with the help of the satellite on February 18, it was 25 times closer, and 100 times longer than a standard gamma ray burst.

"This is completely new to us, and unexpected," said Neil Gerles, the supervisor of the satellite that discovered the explosion. The origin of the explosion is in a galaxy 440 million light years away from Earth. If this is indeed a gamma ray burst, it is the second largest explosion detected by astronomers in history.
