The third and final spacewalk of the Atlantis mission has ended

The two have completed the installation of the last two of six batteries for the B side of the solar array on PORT 6 of the International Space Station

Astronauts Michael Goode and Garrett Reisman completed the third and final spacewalk on mission STS-132, after six hours and 46 minutes.

The two have completed the installation of the last two of six batteries for the B side of the solar array on PORT 6 of the International Space Station. The old batteries are in the cargo carrier, which was installed in the mobile system that will land today (Saturday) on the space shuttle Atlantis.

In addition, the astronauts installed a backup ammonia cable between PORT 4 and 5 on the station, and moved a device to fix data and power cables from the shuttle to the station, as well as reconfigured some tools.

In total, the spacewalks on this mission lasted 21 minutes and 20 hours, it was the 239th spacewalk performed by American astronauts, the fourth for Goode and the third for Raisman.
