Members of the International Space Station's 32nd crew, cosmonauts Gani Padalka and Sergey Ravin, and astronaut John Akaba landed on the steppes of Kazakhstan on Monday morning.

NASA Johnson Space Center spokesman Rob Navias, who was present at the launch site in Kazakhstan, said the landing was accurate. The Soyuz TMA-04M spacecraft landed under clear blue skies in a wheat field as Russian rescue teams pulled them out of the capsule.

According to Navias, the crew members were in good health and in good spirits as Akaba enjoyed his return to Earth.

"The second they pulled him, he pointed up and said, 'It's good to go home.' He and his Russian friends will now undergo medical tests and be sent home.

They arrived at the International Space Station on May 17 and performed research and experiments.
