The "Helio Focus" company is establishing an experimental facility for advanced solar technology, designed to generate electricity based on air heating. The "Heliobooster" system, based on technology born in the laboratories of the Weizmann Institute of Science, is established according to a license received by "Helio Focus" from the "Yade" company, which is engaged in promoting industrial applications based on the inventions of Weizmann Institute of Science scientists.

The test facility is located in the Center for Renewable Energies at "Rotem Industries", the technological arm of the Keria for Nuclear Research in Dimona (KMG). It will rise to a height of 35 meters, is located on an area of about five dunams and includes a mirror plate with a diameter of about 30 meters that allows the absorption and concentration of a lot of heat on top of an air collector. The company's scientists hope to show that it will use land more efficiently than other thermo-solar installations. The prominent advantages of the system are the high temperatures it produces and the tracking system, which allows a higher output per unit area.

  1. What I know about the research that the Weizmann Institute started:
A medium field of mirrors, where all the mirrors were concentrated to one point in a concrete tower. The temperatures at this point reached thousands of degrees. I estimate that by means of steam they generated electricity, or by more exotic means. But I'm talking about something that started almost twenty years ago.. I think they called it a solar oven. or dried.

  2. The other self:
I'm always in a good mood.
The fact that there are things that worry me doesn't hurt my mood.
Sometimes I find it appropriate to react in an angry way but this usually does not show about my mood in general but only about the way I came to the conclusion that I will reach the best result.

  3. interesting. There is something similar that generates electricity with mirrors and a Sterling motor.

  4. Can we talk entirely in numbers? By how many percent is this method expected to be more effective in terms of cost/benefit (power output) compared to the methods that exist today?

    Talk in numbers.
