The Stamp Service of the Postal Authority issued a stamp to mark the centenary of the "wonderful year" of Albert Einstein, the greatest scientist of the twentieth century and perhaps of all time. In 2005, the whole world celebrates this event, the "World Year of Physics 2005".
The stamp bears an illustration of Albert Einstein with various icons on top, including the famous formula of the relationship between mass and energy, as well as the logo of the Hebrew University, which Einstein was involved in founding.
On the cover of the first day, we see a portrait of Albert Einstein and a quote from him: "The eternal mystery of the world is that which can be understood."
The stamp was designed by Aharon Bov Gad Elmaleh and its face value is NIS 3.30.
