The communication satellite "KIZUNA" is supposed to provide Asia in general and Japan in particular with super fast Internet communication at low costs - it will not be launched today as planned.

The launch of the satellite was planned for today (Friday, February 15), but problems discovered in the H-2A launcher that was supposed to bring the satellite into orbit forced the heads of the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA) to postpone the launch until all the problems are fixed.

The main problem was discovered during the preparation for the launch. This is the mechanism that handles the transfer of the gas in the second phase of the takeoff. Since the problem could not be fixed in time, the launch was postponed indefinitely.

Kizuna was developed by the Japanese Space Agency together with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. We note that in April 2007 the H-2A launchers were privatized, and this is already the second time since the privatization that Mitsubishi handles the launch itself. Japan, like the developing powers China and India, is taking giant steps towards space. And like those countries, Japan also plans to send astronauts to the moon by 2020.

The country experienced an embarrassing setback in November 2003, during which it had to destroy a missile carrying a spy satellite 10 minutes after launch. But this did not deter the country and development in the field of space continued to gain momentum. The peak came in September 2007 with the launch of the Kaguya spacecraft towards the moon. It was the first Japanese (and Asian) spacecraft to be sent to the moon, long before other Asian powers such as China and India.

The launch of the Kizuna satellite strengthens the country's ambition to utilize space while involving the business sector in the process. The use of advanced technology also contributes a lot of knowledge to the local industry and places Japan and its business entities at the technological forefront of the space industry, a field that generates tens of billions of dollars a year.

  1. By the way, I thought about many consequences of the website, but trying to find subtexts that are not written on it, as in the case of the name of a student at the Technion, or deciphering a word in Japanese? I didn't think about that.
By the way, it could be dangerous if the website filtering system is activated in the spirit of the stupid law that passed on first reading not long ago. The Shas censors will read the second half of the spaceship's name and decide that it is a site full of obscenities and cut it off from surfers....
