The launch of the Discovery has been delayed until at least the end of the month due to leaks

After it was decided to postpone the launch to Monday, a leak was discovered in the component that connects Discovery to the launch, so it was decided to return the crew members to Houston and start repairs

The six crew members of the STS-133 mission, which was supposed to be Discovery's last mission and was originally scheduled to launch on November 1, left the Kennedy Space Center and returned to their home at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The ferry, it seems, will not be launched before the 30th of the month nor on Monday as originally planned.

Discovery's launch to the International Space Station has been delayed due to leaks in the launch pad (GUCP) in launch pad 39A, the latest in a long series of mostly resolved failures, and which was the main cause of Friday's latest postponement.

Mission managers will examine the crack in the insulating foam of the external fuel tank that caused extremely cold liquid oxygen and hydrogen to leak from the tank, although the crack did not develop until after the mission was aborted.

Discovery's next launch opportunity will be on November 30, at 04:05 a.m. EST (13:05 p.m. Israel time).

During the STS-133 mission, the crew members will upload essential spare parts to the International Space Station together with the fast logistics component number 4. Universe Today reports that NASA says that the discovery was cheapened, and it is good that it was not only discovered in retrospect after the shuttle's insulation foam would have fallen on it during The launch.
