A new method for encrypting information inspired by communication between organs in the human body.

The key of the heart (and the lungs): It turns out that when digital information is transferred using the same method as the heart and vision communicate with each other, an encryption method is obtained that is fundamentally different from the encryption methods that are in use today.

Can you imagine a world where information from your bank account is visible to anyone? This is just one example of the fact that the ability to transmit information secretly is essential to sustaining modern life as we know it today. Bank transfers, military information, cellular communication and almost every type of communication between two devices is encrypted, but the more secret the information, the greater the motivation to reveal it by hostile parties. The race to outwit hackers creates a constant need for better encryption methods.

A new and revolutionary method of data encryption was developed by scientists at Lancaster University in England. The encryption is carried out using a mathematical model, built from knowledge accumulated in recent years about the complex interrelationship between the heart and the lungs. The model is based on the assumption that the communication between the two members occurs in two ways at the same time. The first is through the blood vessels and through the blood flow in the system of closed tubes that connect the heart and lungs. The second way occurs through a neural network, which allows the transfer of information between all the systems involved, namely the heart, lungs and blood vessels. The model was obtained from the measurement of physiological parameters and processed by complex mathematical methods. From the mathematical model, the way in which the heart and lungs coordinate their rhythms by transferring mutual information between them is revealed.

And how is this related to data encryption? It turns out that when digital information is transferred using the same method in which the heart and sight communicate with each other, an encryption method is obtained that is fundamentally different from the encryption methods that are in use today. Encrypting digital information is essentially no different from transferring information when it is locked in a box. First of all, you need to put the information in the box and lock it with the key. Then you have to move the box to its destination, and only there open it with the same key, and reveal the information again. The key of the box is actually the cipher, the mathematical model is designed to make the information worthless for those who do not have the exact key suitable for decoding. The advantage of the new method is that an unlimited number of encryption keys can be used. The method also allows the reception/transmission of many digital signals at the same time, and is also very resistant to the interference of electronic noises that exist in all communication systems. Therefore, as the researchers explain, the new method is almost unhackable and is highly resistant to conventional methods of digital attack.

The results of the research were recently published in the monthly "Physical Review X" and a patent was even registered for the method. "As often happens with important breakthroughs, this discovery was made right on the border between two different subjects - because we are applying methods from the world of physics to biology," said Prof. Stefanovska, one of the researchers, who chose to emphasize the multidisciplinary aspect of the research, so typical of biomimetic developments.

  1. Interdisciplinarity is something that is hardly taught. But when you are exposed to it, it is a fascinating and endless world.

I agree with that. In a utopian world you will be able to maintain privacy without the need for encryption, so we will both be happy 🙂

I understand what you are saying about countries. As surprising as it is - the USA is the first place to have something along these lines. In the past the countries there were much more separate. Today you can be in any country (within the US) you want.
Frustrated in Europe - also a step in the right direction. And there you see one of the problems. You are free to move between the countries, but there are difficult language barriers. Will there be only one language in a utopian world? Think how much cultural wealth will be lost.

And don't forget the third case - the USSR. Here is an example of the failure of canceling states. I think something should be learned from this...

  3. Miracles, I know about encryption,
Although I hardly contribute in open source, but even a little is something. And also answers on stackoverflow contribute to the community a little :).

Anyway, I'm not against encryption, because there are always bad people. I am in favor. I'm against bad people who need encryption. I am also in favor of finding new encryptions that the quantum computers that will come to us soon (amen) will not be able to solve. Only because there are many bad people with power (unfortunately). At the moment, encryption is one of the only ways to free yourself (even if only a little) from the evil force (such as Bitcoin)... also a mega site helps in that it allows you to save things that even the site developer does not know the contents of.

I only fantasize about a world without evil (evil = egoistic thinking to the point of being vulnerable in others). I understood from you that it is a boring world. And in a world without evil, there is no need for encryption. This really does not mean that I am against encryption in today's world.

I am also against general states, but given a twisted world where each person's future is determined only by the geographical area in which he was born, we also need the State of Israel. So the fact that I am against states in the vision, does not make me against the state of Israel in the future (which I think is important to have as long as the world is divided into states). But in my vision, I would prefer that the State of Israel not exist as I would not want any state...

So on the same weight, I am not against cryptography in the present, but in utopia, I think it is not necessary

  4. They start to laugh and write in my name, you can see it through the equations of mathematics and time reversals and you can see it like a computer that broke down and the person fixes it and returns the parts in time and fixes because he is also in the equations.
The example of life again was that they put me in prison and cut me into pieces and after time repetitions they put my body back together after time repetitions and I woke up in a different place when the good is arranged at the top after repetitions Yom Tov again, I hope you will recognize the style and not the imitation in the comment below. Water blowing

How does this relate to my comment? The video is not replayed. It describes the work of Dan Arieli, among others. We have long known that a salary increase does not increase productivity. We also know why it is like that. I am a passionate supporter of this story. I also know that most workplaces do not think like you and me on the subject - it will take many, many more years.

But - what does this have to do with my gatova? I think the difference between us is much smaller than you think. I simply want to adapt the world to humans - and you talk about adapting humans to a world that in your opinion (and only in your opinion) is much better.

I am a passionate follower of the Open Source world, and I have even contributed my time to such projects. But say - are you aware that the field of encryption is strongly supported by the open source community? The right to privacy is a fundamental human right in any progressive community - and it is lacking in dark countries like North Korea and China. Would you really like to live in "1984"??

Do you really not understand what I'm talking about?

  6. Something about death and about to die,
I don't like to show off and there's no heroism in it, but I was already dead and after repeating the time I came back.
Have a good and respectful day

Of course it is allowed to disagree 🙂 I will tell you only 2 things. The first is that the utopia you describe is great, but I wouldn't call those who live there "humans". They look like humans, but behave completely differently. It would be a bit like extreme communism. Everyone will be very poor. No one will want to work hard. There will be no competition between passions then development will stop. There will be no new drug development. The trade will collapse, after all everyone knew exactly how much the seller was going to make. There will be no family life as we know it. Art will die. The sport will die. A great utopia...

The second thing is that you don't really understand what it is to die. I was very close to it, more than once. And I saw the faces of people who knew they were going to die. The difference between us is that I know, unfortunately, what I'm talking about.

But let's not agree on things.

  8. Miracles, my last comment (besides that), did not refer to your last comment (with the door and the toilet).
But does not constitute any change at all.
yes i close the door there are people And there is nothing to do with lying. I don't want them to smell what I get out of there either.

And yes sometimes I lie to the host. But that's only because I'm not a resident of planet X. In a utopian world I wouldn't lie to him so that he would know how to prepare something tastier and not repeat the same crappy food every time I come. In a utopian world, he would not be offended (I am also not offended when someone tells me that I did something unsavory, that's how I know it...)

And well, I'm repeating myself too much.
    Agree to disagree?

  9. Miracles, it's just a movie.
And as for the medic - Mikodam said there was no chance of saving the woman - if there is a chance, of course she should be told that she has a chance.

fear? There's no fear in knowing, at least in my opinion, once I'm sure I'm going to die in ten minutes, I'll be calmer because I'll know! I will try to use up my last ten minutes as much as I can. It was much better than dying like a mosquito that doesn't know that my hand just came on it. (or with a stupid smile on his face)

I'm asking about reality - what would you prefer, knowing you were going to die or not?
Do you prefer that people believe in the world after death (heaven), and that there is a reason why he lives and it is called God just so they can feel good about themselves? I'm pretty sure not…

The girl - again I'm talking about a utopian world, where the children don't laugh at fats, so there is no point in treating fat as important. And in general I think all parents think their children are beautiful.

The boy - I think he's stupid too? What kind of parent am I? And in my utopian world they don't laugh at the limitations of others. Trying to develop everyone's good qualities (in general, I think there is a discussion about what is stupid - can't remember things? Bad grades? Low IQ? Ability to think quickly? Ability to think deeply? Maintaining concentration? Everything?)

    Once again, I do lie,
Also white lies sometimes (I try as little as possible) because unfortunately humans are not inhabitants of planet X. Therefore they sometimes tend to be offended by the truth. I think it's stupid to be offended by the truth. It is the truth, you need to know it, and if it really bothers you (say something fat) then there is something to do (try to lose weight). But if you're living a lie, you sure won't try to do something about something that cheers you up...

As a side note, I feel that we are not talking about the same wave.. I am apparently not able to explain myself properly and therefore I am apparently not contributing to anyone. And your views, which I think you explain very clearly, are not so much related to the discussion I'm trying to create and they are clearer to me than them, and therefore you also contribute nothing (for me) to this discussion.

I think I'm out of it (unless I see some extraordinary development), so we'll agree to disagree for now. Cheers.

Kind of funny that you think you know that smarter aliens than us don't lie. Don't you notice that you are using your own conclusion to prove your own conclusion?

What I said about evolution is that the features of concealment are part of our essence. It's a human trait like the hair standing on end when we're scared.

The competition we have is relationship, love, the sex of the culture or whatever you call it. We try to convince the girl that we are the best for her. You see it in the movie too - there is a blind meeting where everyone immediately says what they want and what they think of the other. A very sad episode.

Are you against wearing clothes? makeup? Shaving? When you are hosted and the food is not perfect - what do you say to the host? And say - do you close the door when you shit?

  11. MouthHole
That's one of the things you see in that movie. An elderly mother is about to die and is in terrible fear. The son lies to her, and tells her about the wonderful next world. The mother died with a smile on her face.

And regarding the medic - one of the things that increase the chances of survival is hope. Do you want to harm the injured person's chances of living?
Another point - it is better to let a person lose consciousness and die with some hope than to leave him in the terrible fear that exists. Just like in the movie.

Your girl asks how she looks in her prom dress. The girl is a bit fat, and no dress will help. Are you really telling her the truth? Your child comes home and tells you that he is being laughed at for being stupid. what do you say to him

Do you really think it's right to hurt everyone you love because of such views on a utopian world?

  12. Miracles,
A, I was talking about aliens smarter than humans.
B'. I agree that animals lie, that we have also lied and apparently we have also evolved even when we were thwarted because of this ability, don't understand what the connection is with the present?
third'. I don't understand what the competition has to do with, I don't know what they compete in the most (the size of the bulb?!?) and I don't know what it has to do with. Could you please come to your 'spot'?

  13. i think dear
    Regarding your question-
He is going to die, he has a short time left to live, tell him that, so that he knows he has one last chance to enjoy the sun's rays, personally I think it is better if he knows. Sorry, let me rephrase that without deleting, if I was going to die, I'd want to know (wouldn't you?).

I think it's like the question of whether you'd rather be smart with awareness but aware that there's a lot of suffering, which causes you suffering, than being a really happy mosquito but without awareness. Would you rather be ad-free?

In a reformed world, there is no need for lies. Of course we don't live in such a world, so I also lie from time to time.

  14. MouthHole / point
Let's look at it from another point of view. We humans are the result of evolution. One of the features of the evolution process is that living things have features that were used in the past, but are not useful today. In the past there were many advantages to being able to hide information, because of competition. For example - food sources, hunting methods and so on. Another - huge - advantage is the ability to appear more dangerous than you really are, or not afraid when you are. The curling of a cat's fur is an example of this. Pretending to be dead in many animals is another example.

We inherited this ability. And you probably think you don't need it anymore, because there's no need for competition anymore. So I will ask you a question - what is the field in which people compete the most? A prize is guaranteed for those who guess correctly.

  15. MouthHole / point
I'm trying to show you the world we live in. Imagine a medic who arrives at a car accident and there is a fatally injured person who cannot be saved. The wounded man is fully conscious, in terrible fear, but he does not know exactly what his condition is. What should the medic tell him?

Really, think about what you're saying.

  16. Nissim, I actually don't know the movie, but I thought about this argument myself before writing. Yes, only the cool and the smart really know how to lie where necessary... but I demand you to look at the overall picture, from a high, very high. People (or aliens) do not need a law that it is forbidden to steal because they are smart enough to understand that if only one of them steals they will need the police, and will need laws and legislatures, etc., I am talking here about something utopian, something that man is clearly not close to. It is not worth it for a person to lie in such a world (it is allowed to lie as a joke, then tell the truth), but there is no point in hiding it. Because there are no people who are misusing your information. This is a world I would like to live in. (On the one hand, I feel like continuing with the imagination in relation to my world - think that there is no money, everyone is smart enough to work as hard as they can and get everything they need because they understand that otherwise, a much more twisted money cave would be needed... but on the other hand, it made me sad Sure, I'll end here :))

And that you do not agree with the views of a point, does not make him wise/stupid, I suggest that you back off from disparaging the point, even if you feel that way, I'm sure you still have a doubt, so there is no need to mention the disparagement, until at least you are XNUMX% sure of it . And even then actually only if it contributes to the discussion 🙂

  17. Nissim I know the movie, a distorted and ridiculous movie that presents a character of what is truth like Amnon Yitzchak presents a version of what evolution is. And all this happens in the media which is responsible for most of the lies and brainwashing in the world and still believes them.

  18. Miracles, I'm in favor of the idea, but it's hard to find it in most people who go after cheaters and tricksters.

  19. MouthHole
You wouldn't want to live in such a world. There's a nice movie, starring Ricky Jarvis, called, I think, "The Invention of Lying." At the beginning of the film, a world is described where everyone just tells the truth. Pretty terrible. There is not a single smile or a drop of happiness. Point is not exactly a thinking person, but I expect more from you 🙂

  20. Yes, I tend to agree with you that in world X where there are aliens who are much smarter than humans there would probably be no need for encryption algorithms.
Not even in lies, laws, etc. Everyone would live in a kind of absolute chaos which was actually more of a mufti type of order, than something like socialism without laws.

It's a shame that most people are fools who believe they are smarter than everyone else and therefore lie to themselves and don't realize that they are actually ruining the experience of life for all of humanity...
But there is nothing to do. We are not smart enough to see the big picture.

  21. To exert a lie-based control mechanism on others about what they will or will not feel is the beginning of the distortion.
But in general the truth is that a person does not want to feel that he is pitied because then he seems to become inferior, and he is not ready to accept the fact that he is just a human being.
In any case, after we started with the entanglements, the hiding and the hiding, the initial distortion was already created and then when you take into account the human mind, then there is no end to it. All this is beautifully and briefly described in the story of the first Adam after he ate from the tree of knowledge.

  22. Regardless, there are bad people in the world (not necessarily but in the government, but there is no shortage there either), from whom it is necessary to hide information. not to be taken advantage of. It may be that in a utopian world where there were no bad people, there could really be a discussion about the need for encryption, but since we don't live in such a world, their need is obvious to anyone with a mind.

I'm not sure I understood you point, are you claiming that we don't live in a utopian world? Or in our world there is no need to hide?

  23. Nissim You once again describe a twisted world where a close friend does not tell that he has a terminal illness.
Why would he do that? What is he afraid of? Who does he work for and why?

  24. point
How about the following scenario: A close friend of yours is terminally ill, and has a few months to live. He doesn't know that you know…. You invited him to Seder Pesach and he really enjoyed it. At the end he tells you "next year at my place". What do you answer him?

  25. Miracles,
In the real world there is no such thing as right or duty. These are legal concepts invented by all kinds of bored people.
If the person lives in a normal environment, he would have no reason to hide his medical condition.

  26. point
Let's take it slow. Do you think a person has the right to keep his medical condition to himself? Your answer should be one word of 2 letters.

  27. No miracles, it's the other way around, there's nothing to hide. Knowledge is human knowledge and there is no reason to hide anything.
You don't need protection against fraudsters, as soon as everything is visible the fraudster will be exposed to the fact that he is hiding something.
A conclusion from all of this and the fact that, on the whole, most people are normal, this means that the fraudsters today hold all the government mechanisms in the world.

  28. point
You are right, in theory. There is one world and it is a normal world by definition. Let's think of a scale of honesty, from the most honest person to the most corrupt person. There is a distribution of people on this scale. I'll go with you, and assume the distribution is close to normal. What about all those on the right? They are less honest than the normal person. You and I need protection from them. Encrypted against them.

  29. In any case, encryption in the real world comes from a need to hide something, and my argument is that hiding is in a way required where there is corruption and cheating.
In a normal world there is no need to hide information.

  30. point
This is called "stenography", and it is very limited. There are very few cases where it is possible to hide the data transfer. Always assume the worst.
