They burn meat (and along the way also the forest)

The day of the holiday turns into a mass migration to the forests, groves, reserves and gardens. So beautiful and good, so far it is a proper way to celebrate by a pleasant stay in the open areas. But the stay is not to be impressed and enjoy the wonderful country. Considerable parts of the people carry with them everything that comes near, leaving behind mountains of waste

"We have a wonderful country" which cannot be said about the inhabitants of the country. Otherwise, how can one explain the way in which the nation celebrates its independence and all the holidays before and after it, and in particular the XNUMXrd of Omer?

The day of the holiday turns into a mass migration to the forests, groves, reserves and gardens. So beautiful and good, so far it is a proper way to celebrate by a pleasant stay in the open areas. But the stay is not to be impressed and enjoy the wonderful country. Considerable parts of the people carry with them everything that comes next.

For some reason the "celebrants" think that the right way to celebrate is by burning meat. Already about a week before the holiday, "experts" advertise on all media networks how to burn meat, what meat is suitable for burning, and what means and tools should be used to do it. The marketing chains launch promotions for "meats" and devices dedicated to burning meat, and food "experts" explain the types of meat that should be ceremonially burned. For the sake of the "burning ceremony" a special elegiac concept was invented: "doing on fire".

There is also a "barbecue" and "to wave", all so that every idler knows his "duty". And the "disciplined" people obey and "do on the fire" and burn the beautiful land. It all stinks with the stench of burnt flesh. While burning meat, they also burn a forest, grove or reserve. If he had been "sitting on high" there is no doubt that the stench would have suffocated him (his throat), towards the end of the celebration the celebrants leave their places of Shabbat and leave behind quantities of trash that pollute the wonderful land.

Reserves, forests, parking lots and open beaches have become (are becoming) all at once the remains of fires and stinking piles of garbage. Did we have a great country? The crowd of arsonists and scavengers will return to their homes and a few virtuous individuals who value the image of the country will do their best so that the country remains great.

  1. If there was a claim about the exclusion of environmental organizations from planning committees, or a request for a war on illegal sides, that would be very fair. But about a holiday once a year? We are part of nature, and we should spend time in nature.

  2. What you want? 20% of the lands of the country are nature reserves. They saved eagles, rams, wildebeests, and goats from extinction. Most of them want to preserve a "natural" state (there is no such thing anywhere). They do not thin out the population of jackals, and thus the deer reached the brink of extinction.

  3. In preparation for Lag B'Omer, you should prepare the firefighting equipment and the gas masks,
First they will light bonfires and everything near them, and then they will continue burning meat,
In short, it's perfect for beginners.

  4. The citizens of Israel are like all people in the world. The Israelis are a derivative of the environment. And the country is dense, so even if 5% of the public despises the environment it is obvious. And regarding meat consumption, there is a country where they do not consume much meat (the Republic of India). And the standard of living there is relatively poor. And this compared to its neighbor (China).
